Ugh, not real busy at all right now. We're done with grapefruit, just finishing up valencia oranges. We will be down for maintenance next week so I decided to take a week of vacation and just be a SAHM for a week. My favorite type of vacation!!!!!!

Ben must've had a dream that I told him we were going on vacation. I never told him that, but he told Evelyn that I did - so now they are both all wound up about our non-existant vacation. I may just have to make something up so it seems vacationy for them.

I'm doing fine and yes it is definitely "sunny" California! It's supposed to hit in the 100's today and tomorrow! We had beautiful fall-like weather on Saturday.
The kids are doing great. The boy is playing freshman football in high school. And the girl is on her jr high volleyball team. They are growing like WEEDS!!! Both taller than me, now. The eldest is doing great at her dad's karate school. She earned her black belt last year and is now an instructor. She has her own apartment and is doing quite well.
I'm just kicking it on vacation this week. Yesterday I cleaned out my closet. Today I'm tackling the hall closet and the bathroom cupboards/medicine chest. Maybe wash my carpets and mop the floors. We'll see how much energy I have.
OH!!!!! I entered two of my photos in the local fair. My Jamaican Lizard won 3rd place and my Bee on a Sunflower won 4th place, both in the same division!!!!!!!

That's cool about your photos! I should probably look for some contests to enter. Mom is always saying things like "ohhhhh that picture could win a contest"....and I just say thanks and blow it off.
When you're done with your cleaning, can you come and help me with mine?

LOL, everyone says that about my pictures, too. I only got ribbons (1st place paid $6 whole dollars!) But it was really cool to see them on display for everyone to see. You should look into fairs in your area. I'd be careful of the online ones. I've done a few and all they want is your money.
My bathroom and hall closet are done. I'm ready for a nap. And, uh, no, sorry. This is plenty of cleaning for me. And believe me, I'm laying down the law tonight when the kids get home. IT WILL STAY NICE AND ORDERLY THE WAY IT IS NOW!!!! I don't want to spend my next vacation doing the same thing!!

Yesterday was 60 days free from alcohol for me!!!!!!!!YAY GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I had my last cigarette at 9am this morning. Please pray that I will remember that this is God's will and that He will carry me through this also. And for me to just LET Him.
