Fritzpw_Admin -> Meet The Admin Guy (7/20/2006 12:02:00 PM)

I grew up in woods of the southern parts of New Jersey with one sister and my parents. My interests were in aviation and computer games.

At the age of 16, while a member of the Civil Air Patrol, I soled my first airplane, a Cessna 152, at Lakehurst Naval Air Base in New Jersey.

After High School, I attended Delsea Regional High, I attended Central Christian College in McPherson Kansas where I met a beautiful young lady who later became my wife.

We live on the east coast of the USA and have five children who are educated at home. We are very active in our church where we both teach various Sunday School classes.

I manage the Chat and Forums areas of Crosswalk.com, Christianity.com, Crossdaily.com and the other communities on the Faith Community Network. I also manage CrosswalkRadio.com, ChristianityRadio.com and myCCM.org.

Career Background

I have 10 years of experience in managing online communities.

I started my career in Crosswalk.com chat in 1997. I was just a regular JoeChatter who had started a chat ministry networking with other Christians in the Chatroom to serve and minister and pray with people who were hurt and searching for answers. Crosswalk.com found out about what we were doing and asked me to volunteer to help build a volunteer moderator program.

In 1998 Crosswalk.com contracted me part-time to help manage their communities and hired me full time in 1999 making it necessary for me to move to the East Coast of the USA.

In 2002 Salem Communications purchased Crosswalk.com but decided not to hire me. The Lord was faithful and I was contacted by Christianity.com and contracted to manage their Chat and launch a Forum for them.

In 2003 Salem contacted me and asked me to return to Crosswalk.com to manage their Chat and Forums again. After much prayer and consulting with others in prayer I accepted their offer.

In 2005 Salem purchased Christianity.com bringing their communities once again under my leadership.

In 2006 Salem purchased Crossdaily.com giving me the opportunity to help restore order to the Chat and launch a Forums.

I'm excited about what the Lord is doing with Salem and their various Web properties. I am especially excited with what the Lord is doing in our Chats and Forums. I know none of it could be possible without a dedicated team of volunteers who are firmly committed to answering the Lord's call on their life to serve and minister in online communities.

Thank you Moderators and may the Lord bless you all.

Hi Fritz~
Nice to meet you, I really liked your refreshed post. Yes, its something I need to do myself. a camp meeting would do it for me. thank you for reminding me of that thought, Fritz. and
God Bless You, Deb

Fritzpw_Admin -> RE: Meet The Admin Guy (9/12/2006 11:39:15 AM)

Camp was awesome... oh the singing... I think the Angels must have been parked up on the mountain just so they good observe such heartfelt worship.

comeuphither -> RE: Meet The Admin Guy (9/12/2006 1:08:41 PM)

Do tell, Brother. last camp I went to was ......at 14, you know them "church camps".
got a boyfriend and winner of best personality. I long for that church and christian fellowship but can't find a satisfying church nearby. alot of people can't. I never hear of revivals or where you was just at.......no, just balloons, clowns, teen comic night in the churches I pass by. or something thats far in another state that my husband-unsaved- would never let me go to. I wouldn't even know what to pack or how to act, lol. God Bless, Deb

Fobian -> RE: Meet The Admin Guy (9/19/2006 10:21:22 AM)

Hello,

Out of curiousity, what kind of advertising did you do to get your community started?

Fritzpw_Admin -> RE: Meet The Admin Guy (9/19/2006 10:58:25 AM)

I'm assuming you mean the Crosswalk.com Community.

We never did any advertising of just the community. Most of the advertising was for the site as a whole with a mention now and then of the community existence.

I think they also did some search term advertising.

Hi Fritz!

I am a little new here, but I really like what I am seeing here on Crosswalk. We homeschool too! I haven't posted on the homeschool threads yet, but will eventually I feel sure.

I have been through McPherson, KS. Interesting place, but not where we had happy times. (Lost a sister near there in a car accident)

Did you go to seminary after CCC? Not that it matters, I am just curious since this is a Christian website.

Nice to meet you,

Melissa

Sandy82799 -> RE: Meet The Admin Guy (10/30/2006 9:49:40 AM)

Hey there Melissa!

Sorry to hear that McPherson holds a sad place in your life.

I didn't attend seminary. When I was working in one of the factories I had a lot of time on my hands where I had to keep my mind busy. I chose to keep it busy by praying, worshipping, and meditating on the Word of God. I was eventually driven to writing down some of my thoughts while on break. I ended up writing a weekly devotional for a year.

There's no way I'd have time to do something like that now, but God sure used my time at that job to prepare me for His service.

Hey there Sandy!

Probably the best place for you to start would be the Community Lounge. There are a great group of people who participate regularly in there.

Once you get your feet underneath you and are comfortable with posting you can venture out into the other areas of the Community.

Welcome!

melmallow88 -> RE: Meet The Admin Guy (10/31/2006 12:22:17 AM)

Wow. Factory work! I can realte to THAT and how you had a need to keep your mind busy. Good for you!

God is always using what we are doing in the present to prepare us for the future things he has for us to do.

Don't put attending seminary aside. Maybe one day it will happen. This field you work in is such a compliment to seminary

experience. You'd likely do extremely well if you ever feel led to attend.

Again, nice to meet you. And I just had to post a hello after reading that you went to CCC in McPherson.

Anyway, see you along here I suppose. And thanks for the kind words about my familys experience there.

Blessings,
Melissa

JesusMyLord -> RE: Meet The Admin Guy (11/6/2006 3:57:45 PM)

That was a WONDERFUL introduction! I was homeschooled all the way through high school and hope that I will attend Bible School one of these days. I'm SO GLAD to be here, and I don't know of any other site where the admin posted a wonderful introduction like yours. [;)]

Fritzpw_Admin -> RE: Meet The Admin Guy (11/7/2006 10:05:00 AM)

Thanks for the edifying comments!

I often wonder what it would have been like if I had been homeschooled... then I cringe... my mother would not have used the grading curve that we so often enjoyed in government high school. *chuckles*

Nice to meet you. I like crosswalk and these forums. Your story is really interesting. I hope you like what you are doing.

Occasionally, I tend to have a dry sense of humor. Which can be easily misunderstood.
Smileys help . So far so good .

Fritzpw_Admin -> RE: Meet The Admin Guy (11/14/2006 1:53:17 PM)

I absolutely LOVE what I'm doing.

I'm very blessed to have found my calling so early.
