Which explains why most officers I know have lead feet...

Hi Trish! I'm doing well - still staying healthy and I slept in a bit this morning too since church starts later than work and I'm doing my run now - not before work. I may even sneak a nap in this afternoon and bake some cookies...

That's quite a talent you've got there, Phosy . . . simultaneously running and posting.

What can I say... I multi-task well...

By the way - just a note. When you decide to plot out a new run using an online mapping system and you are doing it in an area that has seen a lot of development in the last few years, you should note street names not just landmarks.

Funny!

I did my run/walk. It's 80 degrees out. Some of the people were taking their docks down but a few were still out on their boats.

It's finally feeling like fall here. It was funny to have to wear a jacket yesterday when I was mowing my lawn.

I had a good day and I'm finally on the finishing bit of the first Christmas crochet gift. I have many more projects to do... I really need to buckle down or I'll never finish much...

Kristin, I must have marked it down incorrectly on my calendar . . .

When do you take your test?

This coming Saturday - the 18th. I'm not as nervous this time although I know I'll be a little nervous which will hopefully help me (adrenaline can be a good thing ).

So far, I've held off getting sick. I just need to make it through this week. I'm not looking forward to listening to half my co-workers hack their lungs up all next week again though...

No echinacea, but I am taking my vitamins.

I just had to share that I see our local state patrol has an unmarked Dodge charger now. It's really purdy. I'm not sure the guy he pulled up behind thought so, but....

They get pretty creative with some of the unmarked cars around here - from PT Cruisers to bright red sedans. And probably some I haven't figured out yet...

Today was one of those days that was up and down and sideways all over the place... The good news is that while I did finally get my quarterly retirement statement and I did lose a chunk of money, it wasn't nearly as bad as I was fearing (ie - I still have money in my retirement fund )

I think I've also decided to add one more department to the ones I am testing for on Saturday. I can add one more without additional charge and I talked more with the person I know from that department and he encouraged me to apply and I think I will. It's a smaller department, but I guess it's not as small as I was thinking so that made me feel a little better. What will be weird is this is the department that my neighbor is an officer for. I don't know him at all though... Actually, I don't really know most of my neighbors...
