That's what I was thinking.

Oh, and Kristin?

((((((((((((((((((((((((KRISTIN))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

Oh, and one more thing.

IT'S THE WEEKEND!

They aren't clueless because they haven't been told, they are clueless because they don't want to see what's right in front of their nose. Those of us who have complained are accused of having "bad attitudes" and not being a "part of the team" (I'm not kidding ). See, my boss will lie to cover his rear and because he's a "guy", he gets the benefit of the doubt (that's a whole 'nother issue....). He is also the King of Smoozers (which actually makes it harder for some of us to work with him because one minute he is verbally abusing you and the next he smoozing you). And he knows who to smooze so if that's all people see, well, you get the picture...

The good news is that more and more of those lies are being revealed. Eventually, the truth will no longer be able to be denied. I rest in that and just try to maintain my integrity and work for the Lord and know that God will take care of it.

I just hope it's soon.

And it is the weekend. Thank you Father!

Well, I did a long run, did a little crochet, watched the rest of the newest Stargate DVD movie, baked some coffee cake for choir, took a long walk with my puppy and played around on facebook. I also did housework and yardwork, but that doesn't classify as fun although I do love having a clean house and well-groomed yard.

Wow, you've had a busy day!

Glad you got some relaxation in there with the crochet and DVD watching. Are you doing Christmas gifts now, or still for yourself?

I'm on to the Christmas gifts.

I just got back from a 22.25 mile bike ride. I feel great although my bum is a little tender now... The rest of the day I plan on spending relaxing.

Well after riding a bike that far, I'd want to relax too.

Gee, Kristin, how'd you get back home after riding 22.25 miles?

I think it would have been much better to ride 11.13 one way, and then turn around and ride 11.12 miles back the other way.

But . . . whatever works for you, I guess.

Show off, I just did 30 minutes on the recumbent bike while watching tv at the gym

I am still sore from running yesterday, that's my excuse.

And even more when I hopefully get into patrol... Run away from me, and you'll discover that I may be small but I move fast... Of course, we'll see how fast I move in a vest and tons of gear...

Ha! That reminds me of the "exercises" we used to do at church camp as a kid. They involved everything from opening and closing your eyelids to finger bends... It's amazing what will entertain kids...

Well, today is a sad day. I found out the nasty accident I saw (well, accidently I couldn't see the vehicles, just all the emergency vehicles and the cars backed up for miles) when I was coming home from work Friday night was fatal.

This was only a few days after a fatal accident in the same spot where my great aunt & uncle were killed when I was a kid out in the country. A young man and a 10 year old girl died. The mom was just in our church offices preparing the funeral arrangements with one our our pastors.

I just wish folks would understand that getting behind the wheel is a great responsibility. Your actions can easily take the life of another human being. Yet, we Christians can sit there are claim how we value the sanctity of life but turn around and speed down the streets and drive like maniacs because "we're late" for something or it's "fun" to drive crazy. Yes, accidents can happen to anyone, but there is a difference between an accident and being irresponsible.

Sorry... just a short vent... Especially after getting behind someone who was either talking on their cell phone or driving drunk 70mph down the freeway this morning...

It's good to know I'm not alone. I guess when you've lost folks you care about in vehicle accidents, you tend to take things a little more seriously because you know what can happen all too well.

They always say that young men are the ones with invincibility complexes, but I think a lot of folks never grow past that and it shows in their driving skills... "If I drive 20mph over the speed limit it's because the speed limit is unreasonably slow and I'm a good enough driver that I can handle it but if someone else flies past me doing the same thing, they are an idiot..."

Me too, I'd just have to learn how to drive the police car aggressively since I am such a safe driver. LOL
