I can't believe I forgot to post my news! You'll have to pardon me while I gloat for a minute.

I ran in a 2 mile race this morning... Long story short: I ended up taking 1st place for my division! I couldn't believe it! I also got a personal best.

OK, gloat over!

This should hold you in good stead if you get a job in the jail...like when you accidentally leave the back door open and have to run someone down.

OK, I'll share more about my weekend. Basically, I sat down maybe 5 times the entire weekend. I cleaned. I cooked. I organized. I worked. I's tired...

I hosted a bunch of family on Sunday after church for my mom's birthday party. It was a hit - the food all turned out great and everyone really enjoyed themselves - especially my mom. The only bad thing was my young cousins discovered a really large wasp nest under one of my eaves. No one was stung, but last night I got to do the spray-and-run-for-your-life sprint trying to kill them... The spray says it kills them on contact but it lied...

Fortunately, I run fast...

Tell me about it! One summer a few years ago, I got stung by so many wasps it was actually getting comical. It's like I was wearing "sting me" spray... The worst was when one got me on my lip. I can't believe how bad that hurt! I'd been stung multiple times a month earlier and that was nothing... Apparently you lips have a lot of nerve endings on them...

I also looked like that one guy on fat Albert with the enormous bottom lip...

No wasps but mosquitos really like me. Bug spray does not work for me.

I go in spurts with moquitos. I won't be bit for years, then in a week I'll get bit several times...

Fortunately, that one year was the only year I've really had problems with wasps. They were just super mean that year. The ones around where I live now seem to be a lot more "calm"...

Well, until I sprayed their nest that is...

Mozzies love me unfortunately. I'm allergic to bee and wasp stings.

I'm so thankful I'm not allergic to bee stings. I probably would have died that summer I got stung so many times...

Well, I'm taking the next few days off work so I have to share:

It's my Friday, I can smile if I want to..
Smile if I want to... Smile if I want to...
You would smile too if it happened to you!
