Hows the barfing wonder dog doing?

She is doing better. I stopped giving her Zantac and she did barf once last week, so I suppose I should resume the Zantac.

Hi Everyone!!

Catherine, that's kinda sad on that one kitten with food on one end and "stuff" on the other end that was so imbedded or dried that it became that much work to clean the poor thing up.

Is it all better now? And glad to hear that Princess is doing better with the barfing!

Brandy! How's new momma doing? Are you at some point going to put Isabel in an avatar?

Christine, is there a story behind the little lego lady with a rose in your avatar?

Yah, it is sad for the little kitty. He is better now as far as cleanliness goes.

It is frustrating for me that the cats keep knocking everything over. It happens whenever they haven't seen me for a while (like when I first wake up in the morning), or/and when they are frantic for me to let them out of the crate.

I had lunch today with Kimberly and Andrew at a Mexican restaurant. We all had a good time.

Matt bought me New Super Mario World to play on his Nintendo DS while I am at work. It has been fun, but I think I will be done with the game in a few days and then I am back to having less entertainment.

I have an Uno/Skip Bo game for my nintendo DS. I used to play that at work on my breaks. I had fun during the 'speed rounds'.

Well, that was a sweet gesture!

The kitties will probably settle down about the time is time to return them. *sigh*.

Just thought she was cute. I am getting married on the beach this fall and all.

Y'all ... I Have another prayer request.

My landlord, who was admitted to the hospital about a month ago for an infection in his heart valve, is still there. Since the infection, he's had a valve replacement, his gall bladd removed due to a secondary infection, and they just recently discovered a hole in his heart ... a result of his infection. He has diabetes and it's causing lots of complications. The drs aren't sure if they can operate on him. I'll have more info the end of the week, but in the meantime, I'm in limbo.

I am without Internet for a day or two til our DSL gets activated. Fun. I am on break at work right now.

Not much else to say.

Something happened and the Humane Society called me Sunday morning to ask for the ID numbers of the kittens I have. I didn't see I had a message til the drive to work, then they tried to call me again when I got to work. Wonder what happened.

Seems like these kittens are going to be here forever. The baby kitten is only up to 1 lb 8 or 9 ounces. Not sure how big the big ones are. I think I will take them back in two groups.

One of the kittens who is amoung the bigger ones does not seem to like humans at all. If it sees I am about to pick it up it runs. Last night it climbed on the coffee table and when I went to grab it it freaked out and knocked a bunch of things off.

Well, my break is over. Oh joy.

No news yet Trish, thanks for asking.
I will call again tomorrow to get an update. His friend said he should know more today, so I'll call tomorrow. Don't want to bother them today if they're making decisions and such at the hospital.

I think we may be one of AT&T's most hated customers.

Back when we cancelled our cell phones with them we got a manager who said they would wave our cancellation fee. When our last bill showed up... $200 cancellation fee. We couldn't convince them to waive it even though they already said they would.

We ordered DSL on June 25. They told us our service would be active on July 2. July 2 comes and we have no Internet. We call them and they say, "Oh, we show your order was cancelled." We did not cancel it, and they did not call us to tell us they were cancelling. We got a manager to give us one month free. They said out DSL would now be active on July 9.
Well, July 9 was yesterday. I was JUST about to leave for the dentist, and a guy comes over from ATT about our DSL line. They did not tell us anyone was coming. He spends a little while there and says we are not getting a signal. I told him I had to leave so he had to leave too (can't get to our thingamabob with the controls without going through the house).
Matt calls them and has some employee assure him the DSL would be on at 8 PM. When 8 PM was past, still no DSL. Matt called and argued with several people who were not willing to do anything right away to help us.

They told us someone would come back to our house today. Still no one had come at 2:30 when I left for work. Arg. I hope we have DSL tonight when I get home, but I am not holding my breath.

So, my reccomendation is do not ever go with ATT for ANYTHING. As Matt told them last night, "This is not rocket science."

Aren't you glad you're using Directv for TV???

My boss dealt with AT&T for over a month just getting their new TV service right.

Matt says we have the Internet at home now. One of the wires on the poll was broken, so they had to put a new one in. Couldn't the dude have figured that out yesterday?

I beat Mario World for DS today, but now I am going back and trying to get all the star coins and figure out how to get to the other worlds I didn't get to play. Next I will play Mario Party DS, though I don't know how much fun that will be by myself. I feel like a loser playing video games for most of my eight hour work shift, but I suppose celebrity gossip magazines aren't any better in the grand skeme of things.

Bleh to work. Aren't I old enough to retire yet?

I've never been one for DS games. The closest I get is the occasional game of tetris on the PC.

Glad you're up and running again Catherine. I have ATT phone yet but that will be changing. I will not have ATT anything anymore either. And that includes a credit card.

Christine, I really hope there is some improvement for your landlord.

I've not had any problems with my ATT cell service. They've been very helpful when I've had questions, and they even took my suggestion on where to try and place another tower to remove a "dead zone" that was always nailing me on my way home if I had a call going. Now, remember, that's only my experience with ATT. I'm sorry that you all have had trouble with them.

My landlord passed away yesterday.

It's sad on many levels, one being that he was a professed atheist.

I have no words right now.

Well, the five foster kittens have been here for over a week now. After a few days some of them started to grow on me. I haven't shared much about these kittens since my Internet has been down for a while.

The one kitten I am concerned about is named Tiger. She is one of the bigger kitties.
- back when I used to separate the cats in to two different crates for wet food feeding time, she would always just sit in the corner and watch and not eat any wet food. Since I have now started leaving all the kittens in the big crate and just putting one bowl on each side of the crate, she will eat some wet food now
- I have never heard her make any noise. She does not meow or hiss or purrr or anything.
- she runs away from me when I go to pick her up. If it is time for the cats to go back to the crate I have to chase her in to a corner to be able to grab her. I know this is probably adding to her being tramatized, but I don't think it is safe for her to roam the house 24/7 unsupervised.
- if I do pick her up straight from the crate before she has a chance to run away, she will let me pet her, but she doesn't seem to enjoy it. I have never heard her purrr.
- she won't play with a toy I am holding. She has played with one of the cat balls and plays on the scratching post, but never directly with me.
I just don't know what I can do to acclimate this cat to living with humans. I feel bad for anyone who adopts her hoping for a friendly cat and instead gets one who doesn't really like humans.

One of the fluffy cats really seems to like me. If he wants to be petted and I am not petting him he will meow at me, and he always purrrs when he is near me. He likes to rub himself against my legs. Awww.

The smallest baby kitten who I had to give a shower to the first day is named Moe. Moe is still so cute and yet so mean. He is always trying to attack my feet. I still have to clean him off sometimes. He will probably be here for a while yet since he still only weighs 1 pound 9 ounces.

The other fluffy kitten and the black kitten I do not really have anything to say about.

I have decided I like scoopable little more than clay litter. The only thing I don't like about is that now I have to sweep the crate since the stuff gets tracked out of the box.

It is important to tell the humane society behavioral and character traits of the kittens, so that they can make sure they get placed with an appropriate family.

I had a litter catcher tray thing that I put outside my litter box. When the cat left the box, the litter found it's way in the tray, not all over the carpet.
