how often do you tell people you love them? what about your family/friends? have you ever told random strangers you love them?
obviously im not talking about romantic love.
i was curious because ive had people comment to me or other family members that we tell eachother "i love you" alot and show affection to eachother more than they do in their family. i never think about it much until people say something, then i realize that my family really does show it alot.
im not saying if you dont tell your family you love them it means you dont, im just curious as to how much/often other people show it.
also to your friends. do you tell them how much you love them, and often? or is it weird and you guys never talk about that much?
what does it mean to you when you tell someone you love them?

cool topic. Yeah, I tell my family I love them, and I've told my friends a couple times. But not my guy friends. I don't want them to think I'm weird. You know what I mean.

I used to be really bad about never saying it, simply because I'm more non-verbal in showing my affection. But in the past few years I've been saying it every time I 'part' from a family member. That is, when they leave the house, when I do, when I talk to them on the phone, or when I go to bed.
It mainly stems from, just in case anything happens to them or me while we're apart, I don't want my last words to them to be anything angry or stupid.
Outside of my family, I don't think I've every told anyone I love them.

I rarely EVER do. I know, it's horrible. But I'm not the kind of person who loves a lot of people. Only the people who are close to me. It kinda sucks, but oh well.
And it's funny, because I'm the only person who checked "I rarely ever do" in the poll! Haha.

i pretty much say "i love you" everytime i go somewhere. or just randomly. i dont know if the once i leave that person, or once i get through talking to them if i'll ever see them again. i dont want to leave this earth without telling someone how i really feel. but when i do say "i love you" i honestly mean it. i dont just say it as a way to end the convorsation.

Because I don't tell just anyone that I love them, it's usually only to family members before we part.
I love my "close" friends, but it's a little odd saying that to them. I probably should, seeing as how we'll never know what could happen. It's just if they don't say it, how weird would it be coming from me? lol
I do mean it when I say it. As for how I mean it, look up 1 Corinthians 13. Love as it truly is....

hmmmm... I'm kinda between the first two, honestly. I dont say it all the time but I always think about it. Some people just take it differently. For example, I always tell my parents I love em, but I dont always tell my friends, even if I DO love them. I used to, but certain circumstances have led me to reconsider that.
I actually got to worrying that I didnt say it enough. Then someone whose opinion I value very highly told me that I dont HAVE to say it --- I show it in my actions.
So ya, random personal bit aside, I'm between the two.

I tell my family that I love them. Not all the time, but they know I do love them. I have two close friends (girls, in case anyone was wondering) that I will say "I love you" to when I'm saying goodbye to them. But other than that, I wouldn't go around saying it all the time.

ok for the serious answer.. i say it whenever i feel like it.
which is like... never with my family, and often with some friends, rarely with others. and irl with guys if there are girls around to weird out. then i laugh at them being weirded out. but they dont realize it.

I tell everyone I love them all the time, seriously! I have a really bad habit though of when one of my guy friends gets on my nerves and is doing something stupid I'll be like- "You are so stupid! I love you!" Yeah, and one of them the other day is like "I love you too!" only he was serious about it, yeah, so I'm gonna try to quit doing that one! I do tell people I love them all the time though, mostly kidding with them. As far as my family and friends go, I tell them quite a bit, but I am more likely to do something for them to show them I love them. Like make them cookies or something like that! But, telling someone you love them is so lovely, don't you think!

I tell people I love them if they tell me first. But my parents are usually the only ones. No one else.
