I was in theater. Taught drama last year to K- 5th grade. One of the most ironic was I was working backstage on Hamlet, which we performed in Georgia,in a park around Halloween (brrrr, cold). And then right after that, most of the cast ended up in a nearby theater putting on I Hate Hamlet, which is partly about putting on Hamlet in the park. I have lots of stories and my daughter is still performing.

I kept threatening to wear a t=shirt that read, "you don't scare me... I teach drama!". Cafe press has a bunch of nifty ones.

Just as a stage hand and set builder for my kids middle school productions of, Sound of Music, Wizard of Oz, and Into The Woods. Fairly elaborate productions though. Had budgets of 4 to 5 thousand dollars for sets and costumes. Sound of Music and Wizard of Oz played to over 2000 people in 4 performances each.
