Why do some guys post in She says, and then never post any responses to the answers?

I think it goes both ways are far as the "post and run" deal. Some people may not post back because they don't like what they are hearing (especially if someone is disagreeing with them).

They may have gotten their answer and see no need to carry on.

I've posted in She says and responded. All I learned from the responses is that the women come over here and read the "Men only" threads to spy on us.

I do it mostly only because I am observing the replies that are being made and have nothing to add at all.

That statement doesn't make sense. HERE is not the men only thread, here is the he says thread. In the He Says thread, it is not spying, this thread is FOR women to learn from.

I am not in the habit of subscribing to the threads that I post in, and sometimes forget to come back and check.
I have already gotten a pm saying "hey answer the question......."
but I don't intentionally run from a question.
or sometimes when it is late, and I need to get to bed, the next day I go back and and think *what was I thinking*, and just choose to not post again.

Hello OneOfHisJewels

I think you have a PM feature on this forum. So, why don't you inquire of certain ones whose answers impress you?

I think they/we forget about it. I know the few times I have posted a question there I checked answers for a day or two but then got distracted with work and other stuff.

Plus it is easier for us to accept the short answer and be done with most things.

AHHHHH, that makes sense, then. When you put it that way, it sounds just like a man!

Yeah, but it's nice to hear that the answer helped you (or didn't ), made sense to you, that you appreciate the time taken to help you out..etc.

Ok, I know these last 2 posts probably seem to contradict each other. Just like a woman, eh?

Well, I think I have only started one post there. I acknowledged a few of the posts there, but when the interest is waning, there is a time to let the thread die.

Because we don't like being corrected, and always being told we are wrong, jj, no seriously, ha, jj.

That is a good question, but I agree with some of the other posters. Maybe they already got the answer they were looking for, and don't feel the need to keep it going, or to respond further.

But I don't do that personally......oh, wait.... got to run.

Me too. I have no idea what "subscribing" is anyway. Unless I go back thru my previous 100 messages, I can forget what I have posted.

Yeah, me too. How do you subscribe to a thread, is it the notify me via email, at the bottom here. Guess I missed that for 550+ posts. My bad.

i think it's easy to miss replies to a post you create but when you create a thread, it's a lot different. you did it for a purpose versus random browsing and posting a reply that catches your interest. also it's one click from your profile to view _threads_ that person created. thus i think it's easy for someone to see if they created threads but forgot where.

Ok, makes sense. Any threads in particular where I didn't do this?
