Would you support having McCain and Obama hooked up to lie detectors during their next debate on Tuesday with a screen informing the voters (but not the candidates) whether their statements are true or whether they are lying during Tuesday's debate so that the nation can see for themselves who's being truthful?
Why or why not?

No, because the results wouldn't matter. The left generally don't care about their candidates telling the truth or not. The left didn't care when Bill Clinton did it, they don't care about Biden doing it, and they certainly don't care that 0Bama is a blatant deceiver. Honesty and integrity aren't very high items on the Democrat's priority list.

Plus, if you say up is down long enough some people believe it.
When has Obama had to prove anything he is saying? He has made all sorts of statements but little or no vetting has really been done on him by the press. He is giving new meaning to teflon -- courtesy of the mainstream press. Frankly, this makes me ill.
I wonder how some who vote for him are going to think when they start feeling the pinch of a Carter-like administration. That's what I'm predicting for Obama -- Carter redux.

Results don't matter?!? Wouldn't conservatives care if McCain is telling the truth? Better yet, if they believe McCain is completely true in everything he says, wouldn't that bolster McCain's chances and tank Obama's?

Which is why putting BOTH candidates on lie detectors would bring to light who's being honest and who is not. Wouldn't that be a refreshing sight?

No, the results wouldn't matter. The left doesn't care that they support a bald-faced liar candidate and a bald-faced liar running mate. 0bama and Biden have been lying and deceiving since before they were a Presidential ticket. Has that "tanked" their campaign or caused many Democrats to turn from him? Nope. There are a few honest Democrat voters out there who see Barack for the deceiver and liar he is, but not many. A lie detector would do nothing to sway voters away from 0bama, because the left reacts out of emotion, not reason.

0bama's lies have already been "brought to light" repeatedly on a daily basis for over a year. It is already pretty easy to see that McCain is generally honest (though not always) and 0bama is consistently deceitful. The liberal left doesn't care, while the conservative right cares but will still vote McCain because he is light-years ahead of 0bama in integrity and honor.

Let's assume for a moment that you are absolutely right, and that the left doesn't care about the truth and will believe anything said to them.
What I'm asking is do CONSERVATIVES care about truth and integrity or does it not matter as long as it's candidate is a Republican. Do YOU not care to know whether MCCAIN is truthful or does it not matter?

If you believe this to be true, I would think you would be excited about having both candidates hooked up to lie detectors because they would show the whole world (or at least those viewing the debates) who is lying.

That is my point though, Evangel. It is already there for anyone to see who is generally more honest. I seriously doubt that any significant number of people would suddenly say, "What?!?!? 0bama is a liar?!?!". Someone could produce a video of 0bama robbing a bank, and the liberal left would say what a Robin Hood he was and praise him for how he robbed the bank to give to the poor.
Again, the left doesn't care, and the right cares, but knows that 0bama is the greater evil.

You'd be surprised how many people would turn against Obama if McCain is proven to be 100% truthful and Obama proven to be 100% dishonest. You have to understand that the left believes as strongly that everything McCain says is a lie as you do that everything Obama says is deceitful. That's why putting BOTH candidates on lie detector would be an eye-opening (and definitely a game changing) experience. Imagine how conservatives can use this to their benefit if what you say is true. They can just reply Obama's lies and McCain's truths over and over again until election day.

Ok - you seem so insistent on hooking the candidates up to lie detectors... I would agree, if and only if, both candidates had a charge of 50,000 volts each time they told a lie. For the sake of mercy, I would even let them know exactly what would happen.

My favorite lies are when people lie about themselves to either make themselves look good or others look bad.
Biden had to drop out of the presidential race years ago when he had an angry outburst listing his educational accomplishments that all turned out to be false. A clue; he was near the bottom of his class, not the top.
Long before she was a candidate H. Clinton stopped in New Zealand on her way back from Beijing and said that she was named after famed Kiwi explorer Sir Edmund Hilary. Too bad she was born before he climbed Mt. Everest and anyone ever heard of him.
BO told a story about how his uncle helped liberate Auschwitz. He had no uncles in Europe during WWII. Even if he had, Russia liberated Auschwitz.
Then BHO told an audience that his white mama and black daddy met during the Selma civil rights march. But he was born before the march.

I have to disagree with this. The left most certainly does care if their candidate lies. In fact, the better he lies the more they care about it, and applaud it. John 8:44 applies to most of them.

Are you seriously questioning that? His fellow prisoners are even campaigning for him, so I don't think that's a place you want to go. Besides, I am pretty sure he's been honest about that.
I personally would like both of them to answer. Is this election legit, or are you both part of a conspiracy and the Republican and Democratic parties are really no different from each other and both have an agenda of a massively large government seeking to control every aspect of our lives?
