I have an HP photosmart (all in one) c3180 but next time I will get an OfficeJet because I scan stuff in and I should have gotten a scanner w/an automatic document feeder. But you can beat these little all in ones on the price. It prints great but uses a lot of ink and I don't even print that much. Remember inkjet printers are disposable items now so when they break you just get a new one that is cheaper and better than the last one. Lasers are better quality but they are more expensive to get the toner for.

I've a 'old'(10+years) HP 720C DeskJet still pluggin' away! It just 'keeps running...' I had to have one of the paper feed bearings replaced early on but other then that it's been pretty trouble free. (I have stock in HP and since I have stock in Wally World I buy my inkjet cartridges from them, too.)

I have an HP 1018 laser. I've only had HP printers--they've all worked well, the only times I've gotten rid of them were when I wanted to upgrade...I've never had one conk out on me. The inkjet I had (that I sold to help pay for the 1018) was several years old, and still going strong. Its the ink that kills you--and that's why I go through Amazon, to get refurb/refilled cartridges.

I have an HP all in one - Photosmart 3200 something or other but I don't know the exact model off hand (I'm on a laptop now and the printer is downstairs, too lazy to go look.) I like it because it has individual color cartridges that are 10$ each, so when the magenta gets emptied, I only have to replace the magenta, rather than the entire $30 cartridge if I want normal color. I don't know how much it ends up costing me per year because I've never paid attention, but I prefer paying $10 or $20 when I need to replace ink, than nearly $60 (if i need to replace both black and a color one) Plus I hated the thought of the remaining ink in the tricolor cartridge going to waste if I used one color more than another.

I just recently got the new Hp Officejet j6450 all in one. I love it! It has the 80211 wireless capability, so it is really easy to print off my wireless network. Easy to set up, good quality.

I have a Lexmark Z 645 and love it.The only thing I dislike about it is that the ink seems to run out kinda quickly.

I have a very old HP 600 Officejet. I've been very happy with it, up till now. It scans, it faxes, it prints, and it does what I want. For some time now, I've been a little unhappy with the price of cartridges. And I haven't been able to use it with my latest desktop. It's a problem with the driver or the parallel port. I haven't been able to figure it out yet. In the meantime, I hang it off the oldest computer in my local network. I also have an OKIpage 8w LED printer on another computer. I've been very happy with it, too. It's a low cost, small footprint printer with few features, but very good cost per page. I need a new toner carttridge for it. I tried bidding on eBay, but I got outbid.

Epson C82. Nothing fancy, just a great little inkjet, 100% reliable. Works better off the USB interface than off the parallel interface; the latter pegs the CPU during a print job and sometimes even hangs up (must be a driver bug or some BIOS weirdness on my motherboard). My next printer will be a monochrome laser, however, 'cause I'm sick of these inkjet-printer manufacturers playing games with ink tanks (must have ink in all tanks to print, tanks can be no more than xx months old, ink evaporation over time, etc.).

I have used HP and Canon before. I trust HP more as it's more reliable and durable.

HP 1210 All In One. Love it. It doesn't always want to scan when you push the button anymore, but it will still work with the imaging software. I think my cat broke the button. It's pretty old now, but I really like it. I had a Lexmark scanner, fax, copier, printer several years ago and it just broke one day. I had a Cannon Bubble Jet way back...total piece to junkola.

Before buying a printer give some thought first what you want it for. The odd letter/document in black and white? Do you require colour printing? What quality print do you need? i.e. high definition to print photos? Also consider the cost of paper and ink cartridges. Do you require fast printing? If so, consider a laser printer.

I have a Kodak Easy/Share 5300. I basically like it. Negatives: It is HUGE. And I had a small problem with the print head, which can be fixed - but is a real pain to try to do so, so I've been procrastinating and working around it. Positives: I bought it on sale. It scans, copies, prints regular docs and does a good job with photos. The scanner could be better (I'd like OCR capability so I can scan text and convert it to some sort of text file) but it is serving the purpose for the price. It is a color copier and people can't differentiate between the copy and the real thing, which is great. The absolute best part about it is that the ink is dirt cheap. This is the main reason I bought it. You can get a great printer, but if you've got to shell out $50 or $60 for ink everytime you turn around ... well, that can get old really fast. I can get an ink cartridge for about $12 - 14 and two of them (color and black) for about $20 - 22 - and that is when they are regularly priced and not on sale.

We love HP printers, and always have. My parents had an HP 500 C that was close to 10 years old. It outlasted at least 3 computers and the only reason they got rid of it was to get something that would do better at printing photos. We have an OfficeJet 5610 (print, scan, fax & copy from glass or the paper feeder) that we got on sale from amazon, and its great. It works with our wireless network. I can hit print on my laptop in the living room and hear the printer start in the computer room. It does have an iffy ink indicator- it beeps that its out of ink when it isn't, but we just push the ok button and it goes on as normal and doesn't bother us for a while. The ink cartridges last fairly well and aren't too expensive. I haven't tried pictures in a while, but it prints color documents well.

I have an HP Deskjet--I think it's a 930--about 8 years old and it still works fine. We also have an HP Officejet 4200 that prints scans, faxes, copies, etc., also several years old and also works great. I've used inkjets from Brother and Lexmark at work, that I hated. If I ever need replacements, I'll look first at HP.

HP Photosmart C6180 (I think that's the number). It's pretty good -- I love its ability to print photos directly from a card, and they do look quite sharp. Also I've had it for almost a year and still haven't changed ink cartridges. I don't print tons but I sort of expected to have to change them by now. It has 6 separate ink cartridges -- black, yellow, cyan, magenta, light cyan, and light magenta. I refuse to use printers with all the colors rolled into one cartridge -- that would involve a lot of waste. I like it for its Linux support. That is the biggest reason I got HP. Possible negatives -- the one time I tried to use the fax I couldn't get it to work on my digital (cable provided) land line. I heard faxes were supposed to work with it so I don't know what's up. Also sometimes when you push the power button to turn it off, it just sits there saying "shutting down" forever and I eventually have to pull the plug. Then when I plug it back it it says "improper shutdown." Anyway ... I like it.

We have THIS a HP Photosmart C7280 LOVE IT. We got a HUGE deal on it and couldn't be happier. It prints amazing photos, amazing. It's also super fast with basic black printing. It's really for a small office but it was such a deal the other day with some coupons and promotions that we could not pass it up.
