Blue cheese is definitely my favorite. I also frequently use just oil and vinegar. I can't stand soybean oil based or low-anything (replaced by yucky fake stuff) or any of that. I like real food.

Ranch (which I'm starting to water down to make it thinner and less caloric) Red wine vinaigrette Catalina is good, but I rarely have it Sometimes I make my own Asian style dressing with vinegar, soy sauce, ginger, and other ingredients. Yummy!

Bleu cheese Russian Catalina Red wine & Onion Vinigarette Oil and Vinegar One I have not found in years, but always remembered: Eisenhower dressing. I don't really care for ranch, having ordered bleu cheese countless times, only to have the salad arrive with Ranch. However, I do like peppercorn ranch on occasion.

Must admit, I love the Ranch...from the packet mixed with light sour cream. I also like brown mustard whipped with balsamic and a little olive oil.... Oh, and don't get me started on blue cheese crumbles mixed with mayo....oy!

Brianna's Homestyle Blush Wine Vinaigrette. I also like Hidden Valley ranch you make yourself with buttermilk, balsamic vinaigrette, and fresh garlicky Caesar. Simple olive oil and red wine vinegar is good, too.

Balsamic Vinaigrette is a favorite. I've recently tried Kraft's Asian Toasted Sesame Dressing and really love it!

I used to love Ranch. However, I switched over to Honey Mustard because of the sodium content. Now, I've found that I'm not all that crazy about Ranch anymore.

quote:
ORIGINAL: bluestone I only like thousand island on big macs I was in college before I knew there was a salad dressing other than Thousand Island (unless you count Miracle Whip, which in my house was Mayo). I use Bleu Cheese unless the restaurant has both Hot Bacon and Honey Mustard, in which case I get both.

Only vinaigrettes. Red wine or raspberry are my favorite. I would rather eat lettuce plain then eat any of the mayo/sour cream based ones.

My salad will never have anything other than ranch on it. At home it has to be Hidden Valley Ranch. Nothing else!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I make all my own dressings, as ds has allergies to a lot of the additives in commercially prepared food. All of my recipes I pull from RecipeZaar Some of my favourites from there are a Caeser, a creamy ranch, and a raspberry vinaigrette.
