Do any of you have websites that showcase your work? If you do, what hosting company do you use? Are you happy with them? I'm looking for a host for my website and would prefer recommendations instead of just picking one blindly.

Are you looking for a freebee, or a professional site?

I use my Faithwriters profile, my Writing.com profile, and my blog to really get out there. I'm still trying WEbook, so I can't really say too much about it yet. FW is my favorite so far.

If you write short fiction, you should also check out this link.

I hope that helps!

I'm open to both, but am actually leaning more towards a professional site. I want to be able to work with people remotely since I'll be doing a lot online - and thus, will be using the website to not only showcase my work, but also to set up a workflow (drafts, comments, payment, etc.). I know how I'm going to do it in terms of software (I'm going to use a content management system to do it), but I'm clueless about which hosts might be good.

If you have free sites to recommend that would be fine too, as sometimes they are affiliated with professional sites. If a free site is well run and maintained - I would assume that the professional site would be of similar quality.

Thanks a lot for the links to faithwriters and writing.com - I've heard about faithwriters and visited them - but not writing.com. I'll definitely check it out. Thanks again!

rgod, a site to check out for hosting is 110mb.com. I've been reasonably happy with them - they give you free hosting with no ads on your pages, very unusual in this business. You can link your registered domain name to yoursite.110mb.com.

They're the hosting company that CreationContest.org uses.

I hope that helps!
