I just ordered it from Direct2Drive.com. Yes, there is a monthly cost of like $15. I ordered the pre-order so that I can participate in beta. This is a massive multiplayer game that is sure to have over 1 million players, though that is a guess based on history. It has been in the making for about 3-4 years, but Warhammer has been around since the 1980's.
