My sister is driving my aging parents (aged 80 and 90) to the funeral of my Dad's brother, who was 100. We live in Georgia and the funeral is in Oklahoma. Please pray for traveling mercies, especially on the holiday weekend, and pray that my parents will be as comfortable as possible on the trip. Both have pretty severe arthritis and sitting for the number of hours that will be necessary will be pretty tough for them.

Father,

Thank you for this aging couple. Please help them throughout this trip so that it will not be hard on them. Help them to see your hand in the traveling and in the funeral. Bless them greatly as well as all who help them. Thank you. We praise you and ask this in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

I'll be praying for traveling mercies for your sister and for everyone travelling this weekend. I live in Georgia too, and I'll be travelling to Virginia this weekend.

Lord, be with GVfan's sister, give her safety as she travels. Let it be a peaceful and enjoyable trip for her and her parents. I pray You would watch over them and protect them. Comfort them Lord. I pray for everyone else here who is traveling. Give them protection and peace as they travel.

In Jesus name,
amen

Thanks, everyone. They made it more than half-way to OK yesterday, so today should be a little easier for them. I really appreciate all the prayers. Please keep lifting them up.

Our Father which art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in Heaven, so in earth. Give us day by day our daily bread. And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil.
