Anyone who knows me will be shocked by this thread. I just bought the new Phelps CD "The Voice" tonight. IT IS TERRIBLE!!! First off, it is not a Christian CD. It has Unchained Melody, Nessun Dorma, a couple of 80's tunes and some songs he wrote that can go either way. The song selection is awful and his voice doesn't sound all that great. I am ashamed of what David has done and I hope he is to. If you were unlucky enough to buy this CD, tell me what you think.

Hmm...well I've always been a huge DP fan but hadn't bought this yet. Ironically, this made me want to run out and buy it immediately, haha, just to see if it's really as bad as you say!

There is nothing about this CD that I fing interestiong. Even down to his credits where he thanks His Saviour and creator for ART. And for the chance to use it to better the Earth. The fact that the name Jesus isn't in any songs or on any of the credits is Sickning. The Vocals are the worst I have heard from him, and the song selection reads like a bad Karaoke tape. I am disgusted by this CD. Please keep in mind, I am the BIGGEST Phelps fan on the planet, but this latest effort is pathetic. Next thing you know he will be on tour with Ray Boltz!!!! Sorry for my bluntness, but if you are going to be a CHRISTIAN ARTIST, I think you should record CHRISTIAN MUSIC! Maybe I am a little old fashioned.
