It wasn't too long ago when U.S. consumers were fuming over lead-tainted toys and food. Now it seems that it finally comes back to haunt the motherland (of my ancestors)...

It's a heartbreaking thing to hear about, and hear about, and hear about, and then to hear it isn't over yet. 'The sickness toll over that baby formula in China increased today... .' There was something else... a natural disaster, killing many families' only child, and now this is sickening newly born kids, while families consider if they want to try again with another child or not.
I've heard it will get substantially worse before everything is contained. I haven't heard of how such can be releived... that'd be a lot of product, and for it to reach those it needs to. Are all the kids involved directed to get to a hospital, or are most toughing it out at home?

Several parenting forums I visit are talking about this. I am saddened that the companies and government care so little about their own littlest most precious citizens. I also see this as a huge wake up call for the rest of the world that thinks free trade with china is a good thing. They do not care about their own newborn babies dying so they are not going to care if their toys or other worthless trinkets they make for the rest of the world is safe.
