In all honesty it's difficult for me to trust God that He will bring justice to those who have committed injustice. It's difficult because I can't see how or when everything will come together at the end, but I want to see it. It's hard to wait for the results because I want to see them, but I am to be patient and wait, while more and more injustice continues.

It's difficult to wait on the Lord and wait for HIS time. Lord I am so impatient. It's so hard to wait!! Forgive me for my impatience.

trusting God for me is just not having enough faith. I see things happening in my life and immediately try to fix, or handle or whatever, both good and bad. I have a hard time turning my life over to God. I am trying, but it is difficult. Waiting on Him, like was previously stated is very hard for me as well.

“And He spake this parable unto the to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint; Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man: And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary. And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man; Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me. And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith. And shall not God avenge His own elect, which cry day and night unto Him, though He bear long with them? I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall He find faith on the earth?”

I have a very difficult time trusting God that He knows what's best for my life. I have a lot of differing opinions on that with God, I think.

I'm with TorchHeart - how many pages do we get?

Probably my biggest challenge is believing that God is big enough to take care of my problems. Dumb, huh. And yet, the sacrifice keeps crawling off the altar. I want to DIY. After all, where was He the first 20 years of my life of alternating beatings and neglect? I have to keep remembering the man born blind and what Jesus said about his condition. So I live the next five minutes in faith, and the next five minutes after that, and the next... you get it.

And may God be glorified. When He explains it all to me someday, I'm confident I'll slap my forehead and shout in joy, "God, You're a genius! That's absolutely awesome how that all worked out! Thank You!" So I'm starting the glad shout now: Thank You! <dancin'>

Most of us have been pretty beat up by our first master. We were abused and told we were worthless...worthy only of condemnation. And because of that we learned to not trust. And the truth is, in the world, there is much we need to be untrusting of.

But we have a new Master now. One who is mercy, forgiveness and eternal life. And He is worthy of our trust.

We all have trouble trusting God. It is as we grow in Him that we see Him being faithful with our trust. The more we experience His faithfulness, the easier it becomes for us to trust Him.

Peace

See, and this is where you and I really differ. Because I think I'll be more apt to want to punch Him squarely in the teeth. And I know that isn't right (especially since I know that a lot of my problems of the present and the past have been so much less severe than those other people have had to deal with), but that's what was getting at with my post.

I don't doubt that God is big enough to take care of my problems or anything like that. Where my problem trusting Him is that He wants to take care of those problems, or believing that what He's allowing to confront me is actually for my best interest.

The area I struggle with it the most is in trusting him with my personal well being.

I think this really sums up my experience with trusting God (or lack thereof). Except that I was "beat up and told I was worthless" while I was a Christian. The Lord was my master but allowed horrendous things to happen for a reason I don't understand. I have struggled greatly with trusting Him since then. But over the last several years He has been showing me His goodness and teaching me that I need to trust Him no matter what. I know that He desires good things for me. And who am I to question Him? He knows what He is doing and I don't. Much of the time I am finding that trust is a decision I have to make. I choose to trust in Him. And I am finding, as URForgiven stated, that as I trust Him more and more He does show me His faithfulness.

i sometimes cannot fathom that I am really saved - out of countless billions who are not and cannot even grasp the reality of God.. and then a lot of people make fun and just dont believe - even if they wanted to, something inside just doens't make sense and they just dont see it... they just dont get it.

I dont mean to be disrespectful - but i imagine its the same kind of exhiliaration one feels when winning the million dollar lottery - except this is the thing that will give me ETERNAL LIFE FOREVER... with God - the Creator of the universe!!!!!

why did God pick me out of all the billions who were not nor do not want to serve God? how did God finally get ahold of my hard head and finally catch ahold of me??

i just cant fathom this all... and i suppose i dont even fathom how much God did to make this happen in me. i dont have a brain big enough to realize what God did for me thru Jesus. i think theres more to learn about God but my brain is not able to receive it.
