I'm chomping at the bit, as the saying goes, to get this project. Vol. 1 is one of the absolute best CD's I've heard, have been hoping for a long time that a Vol. 2 would be released. Now that it's out, I'm VERY very excited! Anyone have it yet? Is Garry Jones the producer? How does it sound? Better than Vol. 1 or not? What is the song list?

I ordered the project and it should be in by lunchtime on Friday. I agree with you about volume 1. It is one of my favorite projects. The track list for volume 2 includes several songs I can't wait to listen to. First Day In Heaven What A Beautiful Day For The Lord To Come Again Glory Road He Looked Beyond My Fault Mercy Built A Bridge John The Revelator Just A Little Talk With Jesus The Blood Will Never Lose Its Power Sheltered In The Arms Of God Look For Me At Jesus' Feet

Got it...and I like it. Vol. 1 is probably going to remain my favorite of the two, though. That one tenor line on "What A Lovely Name" was just too good to top.

It takes a lot for me to purchase a hits and hymns album by any artist. I prefer new albums with newer songs and a few classics/covers thrown into the mix.

I saw BFA at the Jacobs Brothers Gospel Music Specatular in Dillsburg, PA at the King's Kids' Camp last Friday. Jeremy wasn't with them -- He was getting married on Saturday! But they were still great as usual. I got Volume 2 and love the song choices on it. It is not quite as good as Volume 1 (in my opinion), but I am really enjoying it anyway. The more often I listen to it, the more I'm liking it. Ricky arranged and produced it. One thing that I like about it is that Brian sings the lead on quite a few of the songs. His voice is better than ever -- no sign of getting "older". I'm so glad they took the time to put out another classics recording. They're definitely one of my favorite groups -- if not THE favorite.

Donna, ABSOLUTLEY. GET VOL. 1 WITHOUT ANY HESITATION! Not even counting Brian's stellar vocals, the musical arrangement of "Oh What A Savoir" alone makes the project worth the cost. There is not one weak song on there. The only thing I could nit-pick about the project is that "Blessed Assurance" was keyed just a bit too low. On the verses Bill Lawrence rumbles a tad too much for my tastes.

I got mine today. While I agree with most people on here who say it's not as good as Volume 1, I still like it. I love the arrangements, Ricky Free did an outstanding job. I love the more uptempo version of "Glory Road" and their version of "Just a Little Talk With Jesus" is one of the best versions I've heard.

Picked mine up at a concert this weekend and I LOVE it. I've gotta say it completely blows Volume 1 away. I think the song selection was much better this time, and I like the current lineup they have now MUCH better than when they did Volume 1. I think this current lineup is BFA's best ever by far. Ricky Free did an amazing job producing it as well. Even though all the songs are old standards, they have such a current, fresh sound.

Well I got my copy in the mail today..... I guess I'll start by saying... I LOVE IT!!!!! Volume 2 is completely different thany Volume 1. This CD features more "Classics", while Volume 1 had more "Hymns". Volume 2 is more orchestrated. One thing that really stuck out to me...and liked... was on Glory Road... it didn't start with the typical piano and bass introduction that you hear every other group use. Brian hit some amazing notes on What A Beautiful Day. I guess after hearing the Kingsmen sing Look For Me A Jesus Feet, I'm used to the tenor going through the roof on the second verse. Brian took a different route, and stayed low. Brian, Derrick, Bill and Jeremy have never sounded better. The harmonies, the arrangements and orchestration is wonderful. I would definately recommend this CD to anyone.

Also, on "Look for Me"...i noticed that brian did keep it low...BUT!!!! the song is KEYED about a full step or step and a half HIGHER than all those other tenors did it too..( i know i sang it using a track i had made BASED on Kingsmen track) BRIAN's IS WAAYY higher keyed. But im betting "LIVE" he DRILLS the note!!!! THIs project is GREAT!!!! VERY VERY VERY worth it, Ricky arranged this thing WONDERFULLY!!!!
