Where have I seen those gestures, those mannerisms, those deliberately staged poses before? Palin has obviously studied Clinton to the T! She ought to take some wardrobe tips, though.

Another loud, brash, harsh person who thinks that she can get ahead by trashing others.

Talk among yourselves!

Guess I missed the "classy" part. What it in the shrieking or the whining?

Attractive, gracious, bright, and accomplished - I'm not seeing Hillary there.

Of course, women with a voice all look alike to some.

Don't get me wrong, I understand the message is different. It's just that the packaging is so similar.

As for "women with a voice" looking the same, that's not true. Oprah has a voice, and she doesn't look anything like Palin or Clinton. Also true for Ellen Degeneres.

But I digress...

Yeah, I know - amazing how these anonymous folks are showing up right after certain events just to make a few disparaging comments...

And no, I'm not upset about the speech tonight. For starters, I could not care less who won the election, so I don't care if Palin wins or not. I do think that she'll provide some amusing media ops though. I can't wait for Tina Fey to play her!

Regarding the issues McCain/Palin care about (or claim to):
-Smaller govt. and reduced taxes: great! I make a lot of money and that would let me keep more of it.
-Ban abortion: I'm not pregnant (being male) and don't cause pregnancies (being sterile), so I don't care if it's illegal or not. My sister wanted one and I paid for her to get in in Copenhagen; the hospital was cleaner and had better food than US hospitals.
-Abstinence ed: no comment other than a chuckle.
-Strong defense: if you think that McCain can "honorably" get us out of Iraq/Afghanistan, just wait and see.
-2nd amendment: go for it. I have lots of guns, all legal, well-maintained, and secure.

I might even vote for the two of them just to watch for four years (they'd never make a second term), but I vote almost entirely based on financial self interest, and all stats will tell you that the wealthy have done better under Democrat rather than Republican presidents every time for the last 60 years (ask your accountant-mine told me, and he's a die-hard Reaganhead).

Im personally gonna let this thread die.
Only an upset Democrat would use the Hillary card to describe Palin.

But welcome to the boards none-the-less.
Hopefully you will talk about God on here alot more than you do politics.

Another odd thing about the Obama supporters - they have all mentioned the Tina Fey thing today. It must have been in this mornings official transmission from headquarters.

I'd love to talk about god. But I will correct you first: I am neither upset, nor a Democrat, nor a fan of Hillary. I made an observation that I think many will agree with. You apparently don't. So?

Not everyone takes politics seriously. I'm pretty much insulated from anything any of the candidates could do in office, short of an actual revolution with mass beheadings and such. Face it, some people just don't care.

I look forward to discussions of god and your faith with you in the future. I hope that you find my beliefs as interesting as I probably find yours.

I'm not an Obama supporter. I was traveling when he gave his little talk or I'd have been here then too. As for the Tina Fey thing, don't you think that she looks like Palin? A LOT? I do. Sort of hot, if you care for that type (I don't).

Okay lets talk about God now.
One of the things thats really important is the Ten Commandments. Number 9 is really a great one.
U'll find alot of people discouraged with me because i dont break that one. I urge you not to either. There are lotsa Obama supporters on here. Unfortunately. lol

I find it hard to understand why I would find the the beliefs of someone who 'just doesn't care' interesting; what is interesting about apathy?

Nice speech. Not great but nice. Certainly familiar with federal intrusion into our lives.
I like her more than before. Still wouldn't have been my choice but she'll do.
As for acting/looking like Hillary? I can't stand to look at Hillary long enough to compare.
