Continuing the discussion of Sheriff Joe quote:
What ethnic slur would you like law enforcement officers to apply to you? The ones that are true. Heck I am proud of some of them, that is how you remove any power they might have. But not knowing the whole situation cannot say if Joe should have fired him or not. quote:
The N word is related to slavery and the degradation of African Americans and in another thread you mentioned an aversion to such an institution. Or are you running for President too? Am not aware of the mention you are refering to and I do not use the term African American. quote:
And I am just an American who believes America is made of of immigrants from all over the world and EVERY ONE OF THEM is a person deserving my respect of them Would let's say, Charles Ng be deserving of your respect? quote:
and for their culture. "Radical islamics" live in America, do you respect their culture? quote:
Except for the Native Americans (who immigrated via land bridge) everyone is descended from someone from somewhere else. Maybe you need to come to LA and visit the Museum of Tolerance! The land bridge is a therory but studies are showing that the land bridge was most likely closed off much south of Alaska till about 13,000 BC, yet Central America was populated at 40,000 BC. Why do you think "native americans" were is such a twitter over the discovery of Kennewick Man and destroyed the site where he was found? But that is another discussion Do I think the cadet should use the language? No Do I think Joe should have fired him? Do not know the whole story.

"Radical islamics" live in America, do you respect their culture? It's Islamists. No. But I don't agree with native born pedophiles or the KKK either. quote:
Do I think the cadet should use the language? No Do I think Joe should have fired him? Do not know the whole story. That's where you and I differ on this issue. It's enough for me that he used the N word repeatedly.

We're all immigrants, some of us just don't admit it.

The point, that you missed, is that no one but perhaps old school Mexicans and Native American Indians are native to this land - we're all immigrants. Whatever your ethnic background may be, that is where you originally come from. I always find it funny that a lot of my Irish friends don't realize they were the Mexicans of the 1700's... and look at them now. But it won't take the Mexican community 200-300 years to achieve what a lot of major city Irish have.

No I understand the point and whether you believe in Creation or evolution, no ones ancestors were born on the ground that we now call the United States. My ancestors immigrated to the U.S. and were immigrants, that is true but I did not, I am not an immigrant. I do not fit the definition. Neither does the baby born on in the U.S. who's parents are here illegally. That baby is not an immigrant, that is the law. Just do not like the attempt to change the true defintion of a word to fit an agenda.

Here in SoCal some wear tee shirts with the slogan, "I didn't cross the border, the border crossed us!" The Gabrialino and Chumash native americans were first followed by the Spanish and after independence the Mexicans. LA (California) wasn't part of the US until 1848 but we sure inheirited a lot of ex-Mexican citizens! It nice living in a place with many different colors. How exciting is a one-color piece of paper?

No, the graduate is not of good charecter to call someone that, though, maybe we all have done things in the past we are not proud of. Maybe training and re-educating this man would have been an option.

Now I am not saying this in a mean way to you. And all of you can say go and play with your tinfoil hat But Mark this date down and in 5 years from today what you are going to see over California, Texas, New Mexico and Arizona is a new flag of a Mexican styled Palestinian nation. Not that it will be that but it will be claimed as that. Trust me, the numbers are here, protests are already happening and will soon be followed by more agitation and then violence. And if anyone thinks the bad element in Mexico and Central/South America will not join hands with the bad islamic element, I would ask them to think again. Mexico has never been an ally with the U.S. Even in WWII they allowed German spies to operate within the country. There has been a rif since the 1840's and it will get worse and soon. Has been a long time coming.

When you take pride in your culture, prejudices occur. Culture is man made, not from God. I could care less about your skin pigment, your ancestors birth place, or whatever else you worship about yourself over God. God is important. Everything else is secondary. You only define yourself when you use racial slurs...or your education...or the heat of the moment. Ya know, sometimes we can say some pretty hurtful things in a moment of passion. Maybe we should not, no doubt, but, we often do.

Has been a long time coming. You really need to get out of your small town more often and experience a little diversity in your life! Because their is underlying racism behind your race war fantasy. First go to a citizenship ceremony closest to you in one of the states you just mentioned and you will find out how "un-American" these Mexican, Central and South American immigrants are. There are citizens from these countries that are even serving in our Armed Forces that eventually become citizens. You'll see at least 10 servicemen and women getting their citizenship. Japanese-American were victims of Eurocentric xenophobia during WWII even though the Japanese units were some of the most decorated units in the war. That in spite of the fact that their family members were at an internment camp. Americans of German descent didn't have to suffer the same attack on their dignity. Why because they were of European heritage. It's sad that in the 21st century their are still some that harbor that same neuroses. Same paranoia but towards a different race. BTW, what protests are already happening? And I'll enjoy being here (in LA) in five years still living under this flag !

go to a citizenship ceremony closest to you in one of the states you just mentioned and you will find out how "un-American" these Mexican, Central and South American immigrants are. And good for those who come here legally and want to be a citizen. But every person illegally in the U.S. wants to be a citizen? Every person in Mexico who sees the Southern U.S. as rightfully Mexico's land wants to be a citizen? Are these guys some of those taking the oath? quote:
There are citizens from these countries that are even serving in our Armed Forces that eventually become citizens. You'll see at least 10 servicemen and women getting their citizenship. Good for them and glad to have them. quote:

Every person in Mexico who sees the Southern U.S. as rightfully Mexico's land wants to be a citizen? Let's take a small minority and just stereotype shall we! Most of those that think this way are AMERICAN by birth as well. Born in CA, AZ, NM & TX. quote:
Did not say you would not be, said within 5 years there will be "a new flag of a Mexican styled Palestinian nation. Not that it will be that but it will be claimed as that." It will fly over in protest just as you see the Mexican flag flown over the U.S. in protest now but will be a more forceful claim. That was the same garbage people were spewing in the 1970's with the Chicano movement. Almost 40 years later it's still not closer to reality. BTW, there are many "white power" movements in America like the KKK and the Aryan nation that don't represent the views of most white people too! Just like these extremist groups don't represent your average hispanic immigrant views!
