This was posted in another thread by GrammyK from Florida. I hope Grammy does not mind if I make this into a prayer request for Tony and Taranda:
{On a more serious note, Tony Greene shared that he did not feel well during the cruise a couple of weeks ago. He went to the doctor when they got home and was told his kidney was now functioning at only 10%. He'll need to begin dialysis or get a kidney transplant very soon. The good news is that Taranda is a perfect match. Let's keep them in our prayers. }

We know GrammyK & indeed everyone will be glad for this thread because it will just get more prayers going.
FATHER, as we have in the past, we come to YOU on behalf of Tony & Taranda, LORD.
This time, FATHER, thanking YOU that YOU are providing a way for Tony to be well with this non-functioning kidney.
We know, of course, FATHER, that should YOU choose to heal that kidney with no dialysis or transplant required, YOU certainly have the Power & we will gladly accept that & to the best of our ability tell as many as possible of the amazing & miraculous thing YOU have done, but FATHER, we seek only YOUR Devine Will & agree to acccept it & still give YOU praise & honor.
HOLY SPIRIT, please continue to comfort them & YOU know they rely upon our Mighty GOD in all things, & always are thankful for both the good & the "bad" because they know YOU work only for good in the end results for all in every situation to accomplish YOUR Devine Plan.
Thank YOU, oh my JESUS for everything & for that Blessed Assurance that FATHER hears & answers.

I am sorry to hear that Tony is so sick but happy to hear that Taranda is a perfect match...what a miracle!! I will certainly keep both of them in my prayers.

I am really sorry to hear that Tony is sick. I really hope that his condition is treated very soon, and he can get back to his old self again.
I don't mean to stray off of the topic, but has anyone heard how Tim Greene is doing now?

I first read this thread with much concern. I saw the Greene's at a local church yesterday morning and Tony did seem fatigued, but still had that spirit that we all love. In talking with TaRanda she said that it is in the Lord's hands and to jeep them in our prayers.

We saw The Greenes last night in Grafton, WV - Tony led the service, told jokes, and mentioned his situation at the end.....I had never seen them together before, after having heard Taranda on the Gaither Tour in Charleston WV in May - she has such a beautiful voice, I started trying to follow her and them. It was a blessing to see and get to meet and talk to them last night. Tony said and I qoute "I am in end-stage renal failure," he also mentioned that he had gout because of it. He also said that Taranda is his perfect match (for transplant) There is much to be concerned about, and to be prayed about. You can be certain we will be praying for Brother Tony.

i talked to Daisy last Friday night and she told me that his kidney fuction had gone up a little and that is good news. Just keep praying for them----
