Metro Prayer for November 14, 2008
Open Door Mission http://www.opendoormission.org will be hosting a Thanksgiving dinner for hundreds of those in need in the Metro area.
The staff will also sit down to dinner with them and share the gospel with each person there.
They ask that we would pray for open hearts to receive the good news and also a chance to follow up with everyone attending the meal.
Open Door Mission also offers each family a box of food to prepare their own Thanksgiving dinner the next day.
Pray for the finances to come in to cover this generous outreach.
Psalm 69:32 “The poor will see and be glad—“
Two metro companies announced on Wednesday the layoffs of more than 400 employees. If the economy continues to lag, other companies may also be forced to to do likewise.
Intercede on behalf of all Metro area companies that are vulnerable during these difficult days. Also pray for those that have been laid off that they would find new jobs quickly.
Numbers 6:24 " ` "The LORD bless you and keep you; the LORD make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the LORD turn his face toward you and give you peace." '
There has been a wave of violence that has left seven people dead so far this month, including two people who were killed Wednesday night.
This has left people in the Metro area anxious and on edge.
The enemy seeks to kill, steal and destroy and it is essential that the intercessors of our city stand in the gap.
Psalm 32:6 Therefore let everyone who is godly pray to you while you may be found.
billiefan2000 aka ME has a special request I am is adding to this:
pray for true revival to happen in Omaha Nebraska
and pray for churches in the Omaha area that have fallen into false teachings will turn back to sound doctrine and
pray for those in the area that have fallen away from Jesus will turn back torwads JESUS

Father,
Thank you for the generosity of Open Door Mission. Thank you for the desire to draw people to you. We ask that you bless their efforts in such ways that will bring about multiple blessings—in ways that will bring about a beautiful chain reaction of your hand in people's lives.
Again, we pray for Omaha and its problems. Thank you for those who are concerned and who are taking steps toward imroving the city...sowing seeds of your grace...and drawing people to you.
We praise you and ask these things in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
