Hello everyone,
According to the newly released CNN poll that came out today, Obama is headed towards an easy victory next Tuesday. According to the new CNN Gallop Poll, Obama is leading McCain nationally, 50% to 43%. The poll also shows the Democrats are going to take control over the Senate and House by a wide margin, apparently wide enough to filibuster anything.
This makes me happy and sad. I am happy because we are finally going to have some change in the White House, we definitely need one. I am sad because the Republican Party is headed towards a huge loss next Tuesday. I feel bad but I think this is a good wake up call for the Republicans, we need to make corrections and try to make a comeback in 2012.

Don't deal God's mercy out of the equation yet, Johnny. There's a ton of fasting and intercessory prayer going up across the nation between now and next Tuesday. "The One"and his minions may be in for a huge surprise.

The One is traveling Iowa in the coming days, and has been in PA this week. The media presents Iowa and PA as safely blue yet he's spending time there. That should tell you what the campaign internals are saying. ALL the polls are now moving into dead-heat territory, even the ones with entirely unrealistic Dem turnouts, a methodology which has skewed polls considerably in the last two months.

Gallup, Rasmussen, IBD, Battleground, AP, and dozens of other mosre historically accurate polls show a 1-5 point race.
Wisdom would dictate you stop heeding obviously tainted polls.
McCain has been closing the gap all week and a McCain win is almost a given unless 0bama has some dastardly October surprise still up his deceitful sleeve.

In all due respect Manimal, while I would love for Obama to lose, I don't think this will happen short of something miraculous.

Once again, while I am cautiously optimistic as an Obama backer regarding his odds for a big win next Tuesday, I'm not counting McCain out.
It'll all be over when it's over. And then we can all move forward as a country regardless of the winner (I hope).

I'm sorry to dampen some of your spirits. I was just trying to be realistic and according to the national poll numbers, there is not much good news to report for the Republican Party at this point. I do plan to vote for Obama even though I am a registered Republican. However, my heart is still with the Republican Party and this will never change.

Don't believe all you read. Especially in polls.

Then I would direct you to this series... Please read parts one and two also.
Recall also that John Kerry had George Bush beat by big numbers right before the election. The only poll that counts is the one on election day.

This is not true.
In the week prior to Election Day 2004, Bush led Kerry by 1.5% in an average of all national polling, and eventually won by an almost identical margin.

Remember though, we have had more polls in OCTOBER alone than int he ENTIRE 2004 Election season! They are all over the place, and I don't have much confidence in ANY of them. The only thing that seems clear is that 0bama is polling with a slight lead in almost all of the polls, but given the historic precedent of Democrats polling higher than they actually perform, as well as the Bradley effect in which black candidates poll much higher than they actually perform, I am holding out for a solid McCain win. 0bama's avoidance of real questions and all of the new stuff coming out showing just how radical his philosophy actually is are hurting him. The abysmal treatment of Joe the plumber, the increasing links to radical socialists and racists, the comments about spreading the wealth... all of these things are turning people off.
Actually now that I sit and think about it, the thing that MIGHT sway the election to 0bama is if the easily tricked youth who generally don't actually turn out on election day come out and vote.

A little bit of History here. Dewey was leading Truman in the polls 5-15 points up to the election. I would hardly Put Obams 2-7 as a sure win.

And if Obama wins, how many of you will honor him as the President and pray for him on a daily basis? Or are you going to spend the next 4 years whining about how could God let the "wrong" guy get elected?

God will not let the 'wrong' guy get elected. If he is elected we will be getting what we have asked for and deserve. I will be praying for His Mercy and for Christians to wake up and maybe have a chance at undoing some damage in 2012. But I fear by that time it will be to late. America will have gotten her wish and God will let us have it, just like Israel got her King.

I will honor the office, just as I did with Clinton, and probably be in more deparate prayer for his leadership of this country than I ever have; but I will not hesitate to speak about the ungodly acts he will certainly initiate.

...in other words, it's all about America. Do you realize there are many more Christians outside of the USA? God is bigger than any government or President.

All about America, Hardly. I have way more respect for Christians outside of America living in places like China, Arab Countries, etc then I do for the American Church. We are lukewarm and can't seem to find the courage to say that anything is wrong. We are just so lazy. If Obama Wins it will be an inditment against the Church. I will lay that win souly on doorstep of the church that sat back and did nothing. I will set that on the doorsetp of the church that was more instersted in being popular then right. I will set that on the doorstep of the church that decided that the Bible was no longer relevent and practical and turned to polling and research to tell it how to do church. I will set that on the doorstep of the church that decided that 'unity' means holding hands with everyone from the gay rights and abortion movement to false relgions.
Go ahead and tell me how evil and judgemental that statement is. I firmly believe it. And I firmly believe that if he wins then God will be answering the prayer of Christians around the world for persection to come on the American Church. And He would be Right and Just to Chasten us. We are Lukewarm and for that we should be chastened. God is in His Mercy has held off for whatever reason but like Isreal we may be getting our wish of a King, dispite the warning we have been given.
