Obama Sticks Foot In Mouth (Again) - 10/31/2008 11:14:05 PM

During a speech today in Sarasota, FL, Barack Obama said that we don’t want to “make a virtue out of selfishness", referring to John McCain and Sarah Palin's id'ing his economic plans as "socialist".
So now, those of us who work hard and balk at the notion of wealth redistribution are "selfish".
How many more stupid comments does it take for America to wake up and see who they are about to elect?

Right... and then he went on to make the STUPID point that he would be called a communist because he shared his PBJ sandwich in school... No 0bama, sharing out of your own desire is not socialist or communism, you blathering nincompoop. If your teacher came and TOOK AWAY your PBJ and gave it to another student.... THAT would be a good example of your socialism at work, you ignorant hack.

If I may? Many of us believe that Obama is a socialist, which takes the control of ones destiny out of the individuals hands and into the governments. We feel that it should be our choice what we do with our mney, not the governments. If he raises your taxes and gives that money to someone else that he deems lees fortunate, your freedom has been taken from you. You very may well have chosen to help the less fortunate through charity, but he took that choice out of your hands and made the decision for you. Socialism says that you Mary are too stupid to know what to do with your money, so we the government, in our infinite wisdom, will make that decision for you.
Obama's comments today called those of us that believe that we should decide what to do with our money are selfish, implying that without the governments intervention the less fortunate wouldn't be helped, despite the fact that charity is always the best form of help. He insulted anyone that doesn't believe that government knows best.

Hey i would not mind if they lowered taxes for all, because we get to keep more of our own money that we ourselves worked for!
Now, what i am hearing about the taxes is the numbers keep changing.. i was watching on tv,, the tax level keeps changing, depending on who is saying it. now i truly dont know what the level is,,, unless it is obama that has the answer and the others speaking for him are getting it all mixed up.. i wish i knew.
i know people are afraid that any tax increase will be passed down to higher prices for their customers, which prolly will wipe out any increases we get from any tax increase.
i was trying to listen very carefully to obama speak for himself, and i do hope that all the people worried about it, will end up not having to worry since when the actual plan does happen, it wont be as frightening as folks are belieivng and that includes it turning socialist when it is capatalist.. i hope it will be capatalist-minded, and that everyone wass just mistaken. coz we will have to live with it .. whether mccain or obama or another person wins.

Have you found a video for that speech? I'd love to see it.
By the way, I was in Washington, DC this morning and posters, patterned at the Che Quevara posters that were pasted around DC many years ago, are popping up on telephone poles.

Socialism applied…. is like the parable in Matt 21 verse 38... Because… their was nothing to gain before hand…. because the ones who came before him did not have an inheritance
…………and in like manner unless one had the sandwich to begin with…. to be able to share ………that analogy alone suggest that both will have half as much.
Matthew 21:33-46
33 "Hear another parable: There was a certain landowner who planted a vineyard and set a hedge around it, dug a winepress in it and built a tower. And he leased it to vinedressers and went into a far country. 34 Now when vintage-time drew near, he sent his servants to the vinedressers, that they might receive its fruit. 35 And the vinedressers took his servants, beat one, killed one, and stoned another. 36 Again he sent other servants, more than the first, and they did likewise to them.

SO all those billions of dollars lost in this current crisis… are a type of others inheritance,
….and without such it would have been business as usual...
Therefore
The key in Obama’s policies by Socialism applied…. is taking “future” inheritance away which was already given… by killing what you “already had”…= (The vineyard)
… or in this case….to pay for what you already had but the key is ....“that (The vineyard) no longer exists”.
If the right Pres is not elected ... that inheritance will be simple pocket money for the Democrats

sorry, but i have to DISAGREE with the whole premise of this topic.
Obama is an articulate speaker.. If anything he is an excellent speaker.
You might not agree with him or feel he has no better answer for you, but one thing.. he is not going to put his foot in his mouth as if he is some backward ignoramus.
Remember, he is a lawyer, and they all know how to speak smoothly.
