someone said that there is already prayer and fasting till next Tuesday's results. OK look all, im neutral in this... but checking the polls, listening to the news, it appears that obama will win. ((wow it would be a trip for him to have spent all that $3 million on that commencial yesterday and not win)) Polls are not the vote and some people actually vote for the one they did not vote for in a poll. Mccain's numbers seem to be down,, thanks partly to him being part of George Bush's party. I tell ya, if I see Mccain win, it truly would be an act of God - a miracle. And thats not putting him down,,, everything seems to be pointing to him losing. I tell ya, if mccain wins, will it be a miracle from God, or are the polls, newspapers, etc... just slanted toward obama? Again, not picking on Mccain, or using wishful thinking/whatever,,, but even you mccain supporters, please tell me can mccain still win with all the gllom and doom that we see in the news about him? thanks!

The real miracle will be if Barr wins. : D

Here is what I see, kind of strange. I cannot see Obama winning, not in my minds eye, but reality is another thing. I cannot see John McCain and Sarah Palin just fading away either.

IMA, the polls are within their margins of error, not to mention that polls can be and usually are flawed with bias. At this point all I can do is hope that the voters will make the choice I'd rather see.

I get what you are saying witht he polls being shown as they are. But personally, I myself, would not attribute the outcome of a close election to the miracles of God. I would leave that type of claim to the more monumental , astonishing, or phenomenal. Like when McCain wins and you see all people all over America coming together ,hugging, and embracing saying yes democracy has been perfected through our electorial process and he is our presdent. Now let's get behind him and support him 100% THAT would be a miracle! Polls are slanted. Polsters have already said they don't know how to poll those that don't want to be polled. Bradley effect this time around, etc... Praying for elected officials is something that should be done every day.

whomever wins i wil have to suport and live with. even if its the last choice i would have picked. yes it would be a miracle for Barr to win, and he has even had comments like "a vote for Barr is a throw away vote" .. which i dont agree with. my fears i suppose are like yours, except with a different guy.. I do have fears if the person i DO NOT WANT wins,,, i will have to face what you all will have to do if the one you would have NOT voted for wins.

Well, we're all guilty of looking at polls and cheering when our guy is up and dismissing them when he's down, so..... I just keep going back to 2004 and how wrong virtually every poll was. Now we have polls that are all over the map, not to mention a veritbale plethora of new elements in this election, so my guess is that we have a very good chance of being very surprised on Nov 4th, whichever way it turns out. And yes, in my heart of hearts, I have a hard time buying the notion that this great country would put an empty suit like Obama in the White House...of course we did elect Clinton twice so there goes my judgment....

Meh. I look at polls the same way Mark Twain did... "There are lies, d*** lies, and statistics". I don't particularly care who's winning, statistics are too easily manipulated. Like hubby says, "when there are two polls supposedly polling the same thing, and not only are the numbers not reasonably close but their margins of error don't even manage to overlap, something is wrong with either your math or your agenda."

It will not take a miracle for McCain to win this election. When folks are in the privacy of the voting booth, their better senses will win out, they won't have to lie to the pollsters and others so as not to look racist, and will vote for the future of the good ole USA. That vote will be for McCain. Thanks RC

That vote will be for McCain. exactly! I think one of the big problems with voting is we forget that it is private! When I voted yesterday in the comfort of my living room, I prayed that on the election day in the booth or however one votes that God would show them th truth and they would vote accordingly. G

Hey, the polls are tightening daily, and a poll came out today that says more Americans now trust McCain on economic issues.....if things continue at this rate, maybe Nov 5th will be worth waking up to after all.... Oops, I forgot...I don't trust polls.....

I think McCain will ride away into the sunset, but Palin is another story. She's a rising star and a media darling. I don't see her being a meteorite and burning out quick. Even if she dropped out of politics after all of this, you can bet she'd still be around in some manner.

God is in the business of miracles. Arguably, the election of 1884 turned on bad weather in upstate New York. Consider PA this year - a weather event in Philadelphia (say a Nor'Easter dumping tons of snow) could easily flip PA. God has the final say. That's why I'm praying. But keeping in mind He knows better than me, and what might look bad short-term could be for a greater good long-term. (Nevertheless I still think it right to pray for the defeat of the candidate who stands opposed to so many Biblical principles.) -Robb

In all seriousness, I doubt that God would bless the very man who mocked HIS son by attributing the title of messiah and "The One" to Obama. John McCain and Sarah Palin will have to answer to God as to how they represented "Christianity" to the world in this campaign. And before the righties have a meltdown....the same would apply to Barack Obama and Joe Biden. In the end, GOD will indeed have the final word. Evangel, thank you.. i have voiced my concern over people here agreeing to call someone a name only reserved for Jesus Christ. they were tyring to be sarcastic, but i still think it is very offensive and blasphemous and there is no excuse for it. not even sarcasm. I do know God will sovereignly pick. it looks like Obama is gonna win, and for mccain to win, it would take something dramatic, imo, and i was wondering what is causing his numbers to go so low, if its just hype then he will slide on in with no miracle

Regardless of who wins it is a sovereign act of God. God raises up leaders and removes leaders. And regardless of who's elected it is God who is in control. Proverbs 21:1 The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD; he directs it like a watercourse wherever he pleases.

And before the righties have a meltdown....the same would apply to Barack Obama and Joe Biden. Huh? Louis Farrakhan called Obama "the Messiah". I'm fairly sure he's not a Republican. McCain mentioned that Obama acted "messiah-like" and some McCain supporters call him that, but it's primarily because that's the portrayal Obama's getting from his own people. (To answer the question I'm sure will come... no, I would not call him that, and I think it's inappropriate from either side. *shrug*) I'm not sure what the issue is with "The One" unless you're basing your theology on the Matrix movies. I'm pretty sure that comes from Obama's speech stating "we are the ones we've been waiting for" where he told everyone that just showing up to see him was healing the oceans or something. I haven't heard McCain call him "the One", though he called him "that one" in the debates. I googled who called Obama "the One" and the major result appears to have been Oprah. I'm pretty sure Oprah is not a Republican. I think there was a McCain ad campaign entitled "the One" making fun of Oprah's assertion though.
