This is an open discussion forum, loosely moderated, for all addicts (in recovery or active addiction) and those that suffer from mental illness or dual diagnosis. This group’s vision is to advance the public awareness of addiction/mental health recovery issues so as to eliminate the stigma that surrounds both through education and advocacy, to strive to obtain equality.
Stigma is often a real barrier to recovery. Stigma is also closely related to stereotypes, prejudice and discrimination.
Society resists open-minded thoughts and discussion about addiction and mental illness, this site doesn’t.
Largely it’s also about the fight to stop the war on drugs.
