Hi Cyndi Did you check consumer reports? perhaps they have some reviews on them. I have a Showtime Oven - it was the best investment ever.

What about convection ovens, are they good? Do they cook meals quicker? What are the advantages of having one?

Kerryannism, I looked at consumer reports and it looked like I had to join to get information. Putting Nu Wave Oven in the search got no results either. On amazon 80+ people gave it great reviews and 5+ said it didn't work at all, how can that be, that is why I thought I would ask "real" people in crosswalk. Being able to go from freezer to the oven was appealing to me along with it cooking the fat off and being healthier. Cyndi

ORIGINAL: Cloak What about Convection ovens, anyone tried them???? The oven I have has a convention in it and I love it cakes and muffins come out so moist. It takes longer to cook . I was interested in the Nu Wave because of being able (so they claim) to go from freezer to the oven , and I thought cooking a turkey would be easier.

I have seen the infomercials for the NU Wave and we got it in the store I work about a month ago. I would like to try it but it is too expensive to buy and then not like. I liked the fact that you could put frozen things in and it cook so fast too but then I was talking to someone else I work with and she said but how would you season it. The thought of cooking a frozen turkey with all the innards still inside and not being able to season it made me think I would pass.

See ....I wondered the same thing somehow you would have to clean out the inside of that bird. Also I always wash my turkey before cooking it. I'm disappointed more people haven't used it and offered some advice. It is to expensive to buy and try because some of the people on amazon said you would be out $ 90.00 in shipping to return it. quote:

Sorry about consumer reports .... Can you only buy this on line? I just googled it and a site came up that stated the dome cracked under normal usage ... my advice, maybe wait until its on the market a bit longer and stocked in stores such as Bed and Bath, Linens and Things or department stores.
