SP, You made starting new threads look like so much fun I decided to give it a go...

So what do you think about more people tuning into the RNC than the DNC....I guess all the Obama supporters were at the stadium. Even the Roman Columns didn't help with the ratings.

So.

Can we officially stop calling Obama a "celebrity" and "The Messiah" and "The One", now, since he's been "outdrawn" by the country's new media darlings, Miss Moose, Grandpa Munster and his wife Budweiser Barbie?

Gee, I never called Obama any of those names but for some reason it appears that if the media darling is female it's ok to draw negative comparison's as opposed to the "kool-aid" argument.

Now he is an unpopular celebrity.

I thought it was pretty amazing when I saw the ratings.

I think it's amazing, because RNC was carried on less TV networks than the DNC and still had more viewers.

That's an awesome thing!!!

That so far beyond the realm, I don't even think it's worth taking the offense. I'm pretty sure she's big enough to be amused by that herself.

You plan on playing the gender card everytime someone criticizes or make a joke about Miss Moose (how bout, Caribou Barbie) and Cindy Lou? When we were literally DARED to suggest that anyone who criticized Obama was racially motivated in the least? I guess the gender card is acceptable but the race card is something black folks just need to keep to themselves so as not to offend good hard working Americans. Okay.

So I'm a sexist. Now what?

Especially when the outfit she wore on stage at the RNC reportedly costs $300,000.

Julius, I am starting to think you will believe anything provided it comports with your skewed view of the world.

I'd post a link but you'd discredit it as a liberal rag. Skewed view of the world? What if I told you I now am a gung ho McCain/Palin supporter? Would my view be less skewed then?

I am just asking for a a little of the critical thinking that used to be the hallmark of your posts.

The cost of outfit is from an estimate by Vanity Fair:

It caught our attention, then, when First Lady Laura Bush and would-be First Lady Cindy McCain took the stage Tuesday night wearing some rather fancy designer clothes. So we asked our fashion department to price out their outfits.

Laura Bush
Oscar de la Renta suit: $2,500
Stuart Weitzman heels: $325
Pearl stud earrings: $600–$1,500
Total: Between $3,425 and $4,325

Cindy McCain
Oscar de la Renta dress: $3,000
Chanel J12 White Ceramic Watch: $4,500
Three-carat diamond earrings: $280,000
Four-strand pearl necklace: $11,000–$25,000
Shoes, designer unknown: $600
Total: Between $299,100 and $313,100

Note the addendum:

(All prices except Laura’s shoes and Cindy’s watch are estimates, and the jewelry prices are based on the assumption that the pieces are real.)

Now, I'm no expert on jewelry, but I do know assumptions aren't facts.

I think NObama peaked a little to early. People are starting to get tired of the NObama Extravaganza he turns everything into.

It was nice watching the RNC at a much lower key level. More traditional and a lot more class like McCain.

Nice first effort -- next time see if you can fit more acronyms into your thread title!

Is that more of a confessional or a proud statement?

I know the women these kind of remarks are loped and trust me they are tough enough to take name-calling. My original point is the names Obama has been called in comparision are more about the naivette of his followers. The names you used are meant to belitte and demean. I'm pretty sure that was your intent with the names. But for the record, Gov. Palin does appeal to the poplist crowd.

Relax, it wasn't a criticism. It was a joke, because the thread title had such a nice rhythm to it. All the "C"s rhymed, and made it sound like a poem.

I was just trying to be funny, but I forgot humor is only acceptable here only if liberals are the butt of the jokes and name calling.

I know I'm a guest here, so I'll abide by the rules. So from now on, the only one who will be belittled and demeaned here will be The Messiah, B. Hussein O., The Buffoon and The Wicked Unrighteous Ruler and (yuk, yuk) "comuuuuuuuuunity organizer" and non-truly Christian.

I just want to get along. So....

I humbly apologize to all the women of this forum and I promise to never belittle or demean The Governor of The Great State of Alaska and Future Vice-President of the United States of America, The Honorable Sarah Palin, ever again.

Now can we move on?
