Apparently Obama supporters share the same high regard for the flag as Obama does!

After the DNC Convention about 12,000 flags, both hand held and full size flags were found in the trash. These flags were later rescued by the Boy Scouts of America.

John McCain’s campaign prepared to accuse Democrats on Saturday of leaving behind 12,000 miniature American flags after Barack Obama’s nomination acceptance speech last Thursday in Denver.

Boy Scouts have arrived with 84 trash bags full of bundles of flags at the site of a McCain rally scheduled to begin at 12:30 p.m. local time in Colorado Springs.

The campaign says the flags were recovered from Invesco Field after the Democrats concluded their convention there, and they are going to be used as part of the warm-up ceremonies before McCain takes the stage for the rally.

FOX News has been told a vendor at Invesco Field found the flags, which were going to be thrown out, and turned them over to the McCain campaign.

Well,, I honestly don't think the Democrats hate the country, but I do wonder what they were thinking. Again, as with most issues, it's their judgment that is questionable.

Is it really so hard to just dispose of an American flag properly?

It sounds like a made up story to me. People were taking disposable cups as souvenirs--even ones without any printing.

Of course it's made up, the left can do no wrong, correct?

You know that if it were GOP folks that had left flags in dumpsters you guys would be on it like a pack of dogs on a three legged cat....

The spokesman for Obama said the flags were not thrown away; they were just stored by the dumpsters with the other trash waiting to picked up and used at other events.

He then accused the Republicans of stealing their flags.

what a load of manure. And the spin it goes round and round.

Thanks

Make up your mind is it OK for libs to burn flags or not!

Besides the flag is a symbol it not like its the Real Presence or some holy icon!

Deifying a flag is idolatry IMO! How many posters with the name Jesus on them at religious rallies or festivals can we find in the trash! Having cleaned up several parks after some I can say lots!

Throwing away a poster with a depiction of Christ or the word Jesus would be equal to throwing away a poster with a picture of the flag. No big deal.

However would you just throw an old bible into the trash? I wouldn't.

Tell all the Vets who spilled their blood on foreign soil that the flag is just a symbol, that it doesn't matter how it is disposed of.

My son is a Boy Scout and every 4th of July they hold a ceremony where they burn old, worn out and discarded flags. They do it out of respect for the "symbol", out of respect for their country, and out of respect for the men and women who have died for their country.

Well this is America, and many brave and patriotic folks have died for the right of wierdos to disrespect the flag.

I am reminded of a t-shirt I saw a Biker wearing at this years Viet Nam veterans 4th of July piknik at Cut and Shoot, TX.

It had a picture of Old Glory on it and underneath it was written "Try to burn this one (expletive deleted)".

Thanks

And many a brave Christian have died for the faith with less animosity as the "true Americans". They called them martyrs. But you're a preacher so you knew that!!!

The only source in this "article" is the McCain campaign staff. The vendor wasn't named. Meanwhile, other articles have clearly established that EVERYTHING was taken as a souvenir.

This is no doubt another lie, and it didn't take much to figure it out.

I've never been prouder of my country. "God (cuss) America," to quote the mentor of a famous Democrat. And besides, America created AIDS to kill black people.
