Well i didnt know what was going on in BOSTON and why they wanted to trade MANNY RAMIREZ.I found out that he wouldnt run out ground balls, sat out 20 games at the tail end of the 2006 season,etc.,etc. Its too bad that a player as gifted as he is[MANNY RAMIREZ]in hitting has such a poor attitude in the club house. They also pay him 20 million a year. Its also obvious that he doesnt take much interest in improving his fielding. You would think that coming from a poor country as most latin american players do that he would be gratefull for what he has in the major leagues. DONK

As a Sox fan allow me to welcome the Dodgers to our pain. At least he helped us win two World Series and he'll probably get the Dodgers into the postseason. quote:
Its also obvious that he doesnt take much interest in improving his fielding. Actually according to the Boston sports writers he wants to win a Gold Glove and works on his fielding quite a bit. Granted they reported that in happier times but the Boston sports writers don't cut their own much of a break. (Example: Belichick got raked over the coals over Spygate and deservedly so). But one look should tell anyone he isn't the most athletic or graceful person in the world. Perhaps he just isn't cut out to be a fielder regardless of how much effort he puts into it. I was fine with Manny until he choked the PR guy for not giving him tickets. That's inexcusable. From what I read the Sox fined him 600,000 dollars for the incident. They stayed true to their policy of keeping all discipline stuff in house which is why it wasn't well known.

Lifelong Dodger fan here, since the early years of "The Boys Of Summer." We need all the help we can get. I don't think he will be able to get away with a lot (attitude and laziness) with Joe Torre. He should certainly add some punch to the batting order. -Dave
