A friend of mine and I are having a dispute about which was the best mini-series ever. I say Lonesome Dove, which is my choice for the best thing EVER on TV, period. He says Band of Brothers, amazing in it's own right.
Who's right?

Neither.

It was Shogun.

If I had to choose between the 2 I'd say Band of Brothers. Despite a stellar cast LD was fairly rambling and unfocused. My husband slept through it. I loved the casting and the acting but I was disappointed in transition from book (which I'd read) to movie.
