When was the last time the VP nominee from one party whole heartedly endorsed the President of the other party a mere eight years later. Finally, change you can believe in.

But such political courage never goes unhated. The lefties are so full of hate that they imagine it everywhere except where they're most likely to find it, inside themselves. Here is an example of reaction to the Senator from the Daily Kos.

Joe Lieberman should be "screaming let all of America flood, ---- the environmentalist, drill all over, deregulate even further, and G-D-it, let's make war because war is love. Let's wiretap, sneak peak and search every American home, because all Americans who don't subscribe to the GOP thought of the war on terrorism should be jailed anyway. The enemies of today's world for Joe Lieberman and the GOP are Americans who impede their efforts."

We'd be compassionate if you didn't make us hate you.

"Today he revealed (though not for the first time) that he hasn't got a principled bone in his body. He is willing to sell himself to the highest bidder and lick his boots."

When was the last time liberals supported America when she went to war? Korea? WWII? Of course during WWII they would have been put in prison for the things they do today to undermine the war, so it's kind of hard to say.

Im glad Lieberman is doing what hes doing. I heard him speak several times and including today on FOX about why hes supporting Obama and he makes alot of sense. Just too bad some other Democrats dont...

I think if an invasion force from the far east was sent to our shores, they'd find a welcoming committee. Well, except many of them are busy protesting this week. And, classes have begun at most major colleges and universities, so faculty are tied up.

not EXACTLY the same situation....but, Zell Miller (Democrat from Georgia) DID speak at the last GOP convention.....in support of George W.

again...not the EXACT same thing...but, comparable.

Hmmmm, it would seem that COUNTRY is more important than PARTY.

I hope Joe Lieberman accepts a position in McCain's cabinet. He would make a great Attorney General or Secretary of State.

He owes absolutely NOTHING to the "party of tolerance" that threw him under the bus when he chose to support what is right over the Democratic talking points.

Who turned on whom? The Democratic Party tried to throw him under the bus in 2006 because he wouldn't toe the anti-Bush line re. the War in Iraq. Fortunately, the majority of voters in Connecticut are still typical independently minded New Englanders and voted him back into office anyway as an Independent. Honestly, after the way he's been treated by his own party over the last three years or so, I'm a little shocked he still caucuses with them in the Senate.

The Democratic Party turned its back on Lieberman LOOONNNGGG before he decided to support his long time friend's bid for president over toeing the (no-longer-his) party line and supporting someone he doesn't consider qualified for the job. If having principals and acting on them is being a "turncoat", maybe the country needs a few more of them. He'd be in good company... there's a whole list of "turncoats" of his variety at the bottom of the Declaration of Independence.

Lieberman and Schwartzeneggar would make a good ticket. BTW, how come Ahnold wasn't a keynoter? He was such a big hit in 2000.

Just like Californians to put an Austrian Army deserter in charge of civil defense.

He didn't desert, he was sent on a secret mission to a South American jungle to save your ungrateful hide from a predatory alien.

No, this was her talent performance in the Miss Wasilla pageant.

Which is exactly what a thread about Leaverman should do.
