Do you use LED Christmas Lights?
Where do you use them? (indoors our out)
Is it ok to plug a string of LED Christmas lights into another set with different sized bulbs, but still LED?
I find that I can't be as creative with them, because the individual bulbs can't be replaced with the colors of my choice.

Purely from an electrical standpoint (I don't use them):
It should be fine to plug them into each other. The concern in general is whether you overload the allowable current levels (both for the circuit in general and the previous strand's wiring specifically) when plugging things into each other. LEDs are low-power so it shouldn't be an issue, though you should certainly pay attention to any warnings regarding how many strings you can put together, etc. Different sized "bulbs" can be misleading, as most of the "bulbs" really aren't using the bulbs per se, not like incandescent. Usually they're just "window dressing" plastic over a standard LED.
LED's can't really change color themselves, primarily because LEDs of different colors are actually made of different materials (they're semiconductors). For instance, nitrides are used for blue, white (well, sort of, whites are blue and/or UV with a phosphorescent coating since a single LED can't produce "true white" by itself), and "true" green, and phosphides are used to make red, yellow, and orange. Different colors are produced by grouping LEDs together and powering them proportionally as necessary for the color desired (the actual light-producing parts of individual LEDs are really, really small.) If you want to customize colors I'd suggest getting a white strand and some colored plastic/markers.

Thanks Zhi, that makes a lot of sense.
They are very popular where I live, and stores have more LED Christmas lights in stock than the old incandescent ones.

Hi, I am using LED Christmas Lights from last few years and pretty happy with them. I used these lights for both indoor and outdoor decorations. I used Snowflake Icicle lights for outdoor decorations. I think u dont plug the one set of LED lights in another set .. it may look that what i think..
Now a datys different types and size of LED christmas lights like 5 mm, M5, M6 , C6, C7 , C9, G12, G25 available in the market.There is also Snowflake Icicle lights, Rope Light, Pumpkins, Ghosts and other Novelty Christmas lights. LED Christmas lights aids to enhance our christmas celebration.

We are slowly replacing our old lights with LED lights. They are brighter, and use less energy. I love them. The white lights seem whiter with the LED. I have a planter box that runs the entire length of my front porch which is 15 feet long. This year, I put fake poinsettias in it along with berries, and a green vine and gold, silver, and red glittery things. I spread them all out so they fill the box, then I put white led rope lights all around the bottom so that when you turn on the lights, they kind of make the flowers glow. It looks really super cool.

That sounds beautiful. The LED lights we first bought weren't very bright, but we still use them. I bought a couple of sets last year and they are better.

Oh my gosh, it is awesome!!!!! My house needs alot of help. But I never thought that planter box would look pretty. Now that we have been getting snow, there is snow on top of everything, but with the lights. you can still see all of the colors and sparkly flowers that are underneath, but the snow kind of glows.

That's because they're actually bluer. While most incandescent bulbs tend towards yellow. It's a strange trick of the way the human eye works (and why bluing can make yellowed fabrics look whiter).

All I know is that they make my flowers and sparkly stuff look pretty cool at night. Plus they save so much energy, I don't fell guilty putting the lights up.
