quote:
John 12:32 Jesus said, "If I be lifted up from the earth, I will draw all men to myself" And what was the path of exaltation that Jesus walked? It was the road that led to Calvary. And the path looks like this: + Although He existed in the form of God, (He) did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped + But emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant + And being made in the likeness of men + He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. Therefore also God highly exalted Him. . . Phil 2:5-9 Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you at the proper time. I Peter 5:6 Humble yourselves in the presence of the Lord, and He will exalt you. James 4:10 We lift up Jesus by walking the path He walked, the path of humility. It is the downward path that leads to glory. And it is this path that draws men to Christ, to His upsidedown Kingdom.

ORIGINAL: Little_1 Q. Do you believe it is just possible that if we exhalt Jesus... If yes - please give examples. I immediately thought of Paul's(and my)boost:'Because of the surpassing greatness of [His] revelation, there was given me a limitation to keep me from exalting myself! For He has said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you for My power is refined in weakness." Most gladly then, I will glory in my weakness so that the power of Christ may contrast in me. Therefore, I can be content with my lack, my insult, distresses and difficulties for Christ's sake; for when I am weak, then I am strong."(2Corithians 12:7,9,10)

Yes,I believe our example to others will draw people to the Lord and have even seen it happen in my life.

Hello Little_1 I think you've missed the point. Jesus said that He will make us fishers of men if we follow Him. Let your light shine, that is, the glory others see because Jesus lives in us. No theology or impressive interpertation of deep words can do that. It must be from Jesus living in us. It's quite simply, really. Just accept being born again and allow the Holy Spirit to fill you. Incidently, people looking for the way to life could care less how educated we are or how many theolgical degrees we have. They will listen, however, to those that they posses the peace that passes all understanding. One cannot explain it, define it or prove it objectively. People see us for what we are.
