Hey, I just joined these forums this mornings cause I've kinda been having trouble being the Christian that I know God wants me to be. I feel like the only time I'm really a Christian is when I'm praying I don't let my faith affect my thoughts and action. I'm a college student with tons of distractions around me at all times, any suggestions for how I can keep Jesus on my mind with everything I do?

Even after all the years I've been a Christian I have the same challenge.
Many methods I'm sure and others will tell you, but one thing that helps me is this. I fast from a different thing every day. Monday and Wednesday I fast from all sweets. Tuesday and Thursday I fast from meat. you can design your own plan with this. Throughout the day I consciously remind myself about God as I remember what I'm fasting that day.

Hello and welcome to the Forums.
I believe being a Christian is a way of life. It is not a label or a badge that we wear, but it's the way we live and behave.
First of all you need to accept and believe in God, and Jesus His only Son who died for us.
When you pray, talk to God as if you were talking to a caring loving friend. Tell Him your fears, doubts, plans, hopes and joys. Also thank Him for what He has done for you.
Read the Bible, starting with the Gospels and the Acts of the Apostles. Ideally, join a Bible Study group where you can learn from others and exchange views and opinions. Also join a church. Check out a Christian Association in your college.
One step at a time, and your Faith will grow.

yeah...I know how you feel but it is important to know that this faith is an everyday process you are going to keep growing in likeness to him so it will not be automatic nr will it be easy but by GODS grace we will get there
