Is it a sin to have fear? The bible seems to tell us to trust God in all situations.

I do not think it is a sin to fear, but it is a sin to let fear control you. It is argued because the bible does instruct us not to fear because it shows a lack of trust in God. But it only becomes a matter of sinfulness if it stops us from moving forward.

I sure hope its not a sin to fear because I am a worry wart,and need to learn to trust God more instead of freaking out about things.

To live in fear is the opposite of living in the love of God. Fear is really another name for unbelief. Listen to what God's word says about it:
And we have come to know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.
By this, love is perfected with us, that we may have confidence in the day of judgment; because as He is, so also are we in this world.
There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves punishment, and the one who fears is not perfected in love. I John 4:16-18
So then the question becomes is unbelief sin? I confess it as such.
