This goes along with what Mrs.Above_All put up for discussion concerning the role of government in our lives and how much they should be involved. I am bringing up the seeming inability of our leading elite to lead America (and thus the world perhaps) to anywhere but hell. I think this is attributed to several causes: 1- The main one is their rejection of Christ. Most in the world's leading elite, not just in America, reject Christ. I have posted this before, but just by way of a quick summary - this means they are 'dead in trespasses and sin' and that they dwell in darkness and that the darkness dwells in them, that they are governed by deceitful lusts (the lusts of the mind and of the flesh), and that everything that they do is designed to rid the world of the spotless Lamb of God, Jesus Christ. (Eph. ch. 2, 5; Rom. ch. 8) But this works out into truly horrific ramifications: a- They can provide no light, knowledge, insight, or wisdom to people as to what is going on in the world (really) and why and what the solutions are b- They cannot convey to people a knowledge of God and how to be in right relationship to Him. This means that mankind, in general, remains under the wrath of God rather than being able to secure His blessing in their lives and countries. c- They are powerless in the most profound way against the forces of evil because they have rejected the Gospel which is 'the power of God' and hence the only power able to deal with the principle of evil that is alive and well in this world and is ravaging peoples' lives across the globe. d- They themselves are slaves to the darkness and 'the spirit of the air that now works in the sons of disobedience' and so they are constantly fighting God's law and Christ, spontaneously and from their hearts - continually. They continually lie, in other words, telling half-truths and lies continually. Any public expression or application of the Gospel is vehemently, maliciously, and deceptively fought against - in most instances. God bless all abundantly, Galadriel
