I have a serious addiction to pleasing myself. I fantazize about love while I am in the act, and I just want to be loved, I think about my pretend husband that loves me while I am in the act and then I feel at peace and receiving love when I do it. My hands are shaking, I love God why do I do this? I must not love God then, but I know I do. I am not looking for pity as tears are dropping on my keyboard I just don't know how to stop and I don't have a sex life. I am single. I hate these temptations, and urges and I know it is wrong, yet the urges come so strong that I do it anyway, and then I pray and ask God for forgivenss and help. I wish I could just stop. I hate this and I hate myself.

You MUST love God or you wouldn't be torn up about this!!!!!! let me repeat,
YOU MUST LOVE GOD OR YOU WOULDN'T BE TORN UP ABOUT THIS.
First of all, you'll never conquer sin while living in guilt and condemnation. The more you beat yourself up about what you're doing the more you will run to it for comfort. You certainly won't run to God because you fear His rejection, anger or punishment but it's His ***PERFECT*** love for you that casts out fear(I john 4:18---meditate on that scripture). You have permission, thru Christs' sacrifice to approach the throne of God, boldly, and ask for His help every time you're tempted(Hebrews 4:18; Hebrews 4:15-16)and when you do sin He promises to forgive you and cleanse you if you confess the sin(I John 1:9).
I'm not just "throwing scripture at you", I've been there and I've found myself continuously confessing my yielding to the same sin so much that I wanted to run because surely God wouldn't take me coming to Him ONE MORE TIME. But by doing so I began to see that sin differently, I got tired of it and by His grace I was delivered from it. IT TOOK TIME, TIME, TIME! God hates sin, but He loves YOU and He knows your heart and your struggles.
Your freedom from this and any sin is found in abiding in God's word. Please read Romans 6,7,8 until your eyeballs fall out.....REALLY! And press on in God's love. Don't ever run FROM Him. You---will---be--alright!!!!  .

God Bless you! Thank you so much for taking the time to reply to me. This has been a living hell. I almost want to cut my hands off. Not literally, but you know what I mean, I even thought of that scripture. It all is so hard being a Christian. Especially a Christian Woman in her 30's without a partner and these physical urges. I hate this. Thank you so so much! I totally see Christ in you and it was everything I needed to hear from God. Thank you for the scriptures. I believe you will get your reward from him for this!

What a great post, truthreveal. I can't add anything to her post, except maybe some tips.
Is there a time of day when it's hardest to stop yourself, like maybe before bed or when you wake up? Try reading the Bible in bed, like the verses truth said. Do you watch any shows that are too sexy or books maybe? Turn it off or throw it out. Get rid of anything you can that might trigger it.
Umm, another tip....Vicks Vaporub. Rub it in your hands whenever you're home. It stings really bad to masturbate when it's on your hands.

Yep, and let your nails grow long. It's definitely not an attractive thought to masturbate knowing you could lacerate yourself.

You may want to check out setting captives free. It is a Christian site which offers free online courses for a variety of problems people face today ~ food, gambling, alcohol, and includes sexual purity.
