I know what quick fixes are all about. I tell my son all the time "if it dosent fit we'll make it fit". If it dosen't work we'll make it work." Nine times out of ten we do. Do you have a worn out faucet stem that won't stop leaking even when you put a new washer in it? Then wrap the entire stem especially around the large threads with plenty of teflon tape. This will stop or slow down the leak until you get a chance to go to the store and buy a new stem or complete faucet. Quick fix #2. Exhaust leak in your exhaust system on your car. Take a medium to small size tin can cut it in half with tin snips. Wrap it around the hole in the exhaust pipe. Get two large hose clamps and wrap them around the tin can and tighten them. You have a temporary fix for a few months. Anyone else have some quick fixes?

ORIGINAL: MissGizmo The best thing that I have made many quick fixes with is "Duck Tape". No house should ever be without it. Don't forget that scotch tape can be used to see through things. Useful for diagnosing something (ie: if a diagnosis requires looking for damage inside your walls or something, or if you want to find studs).
