I have this idea for a website and Im eager to hop on it. I really feel the lord pushing me on this idea. The problem is I dont know how to create one. Can someone point me in the right direction? I plan for it to be a simple one. Initially. No ads no music no streaming video or pics. Im praying someone can point me in the right direction. Thanks

The first thing you need to do is learn HyperText Markup Language (HTML). There are a number of books and a few websites to help you here. Also, if you see a website remotely similar to what you might want click on the View menu and choose Source to see how it is put together. Check out the websites of other posters to this forum for ideas.

You can have a site like this one for $20 a month.

Send me a PM to discuss further.

If you want drag and drop simplicity then you can’t go wrong with eZedia QTI or Xara.

Both of these companies have plenty of training videos to check out so don't be bashful.

Or you can program it yourself with packages like DreamWeaver or Frontpage.

It takes a bit of practice, but you don't rely on third party's to program for you.

HTMLgoodies.com is a great resource with tutorials on HTML and other web application languages. You could also outsource the site to a developer at Scriptlance or oDesk. Or, you can use the SimpleScripts functionality available from Bluehost to automatically create a site. I'd recommend WordPress - which SimpleScripts can auto-install for you.
