After that last post where someone totally went off the deep end... i can only say,,, if this is how CHRISTIANS think, I am ashamed to call myself a christian.
I've been home all week with a cold and been watching the election coverage, and then coming here when i have a little bit of energy...
Today i read a post that has TOTALLY DEGRADED everything.
If your hate for the candidate you will not vote for has degraded you this bad that you would write such a horrible thing,, then i suggest that you look into YOUR OWN HEART, the evil that this campaign has brought out in you.
We already see in the news how people working for the candidates have gotten out of hand. We have seen how the candidates have shushed overly zealous people in the crowd... some say they have not been shushed enough.
All you people predicting gloom and doom please.. get ahold of yourself,, a lot of that is GLOOM AND DOOM IN YOUR OWN MIND!!
I really had my mind made up one way, but you know what? after this, I might go the other way just because I am seeiing THE WORST HATEMONGERING amongst one particular candidate, and for that reason I MAY VOTE FOR THE ONE YOU ARE HATE MONGERING aginst the most.
I just cannot belive all the ridiculous things people have notions about.. predicting this and that..
and the worst,, people agreeing with the world that someone is named messiah.. which is blasphemy agaisnt our LORD!!!
you may be mocking the posters, or what the news is saying but your also blastpheming and mocking God... Jesus alone deserves that name.. dont even jest about such blessed names that belong ONLY to Jesus.
I hope the moderators do not remove this post.. Im trying to keep within the TOS..

i am so sick now about this last post and how terrible the ramifications of what that person is saaying,, and probly does not relize it.
Im disgusted.. that post may have changed my election vote.. on how disgusting,, if that is what yhour candidate stirs up in you.. HE HAS LOST MY VOTE!!!!

Welcome to my world.
I must say, once I was able to get over the anger, I began to realize why I need to stay and argue.
Those we went to war with & those we share faith with sometimes have more in common then they realize; And I can find myself way too eager to join in battle, a sad comment on myself. Should this journey here begin to impact my faith, at least I will come away with a greater understanding of myself before I move on.
The world has a long way to grow.

Soverignishe - you dont get the point.
I dont care what the candidate is all about.. this is not them.. this is a post about US.
you may disagree with your candidate and think he's not your man or woman for Palin, but ...
all this hating has gotten out of hand.
All this predicting ridiculous stuff and making us vote out of fear is ridiculous. What? have a bunch of prophets been raised up or something??? i dont think so!
And the slandering the person and saying what they will do, is ridiculous.. we dont know what wil lhappen.

I agree. The conversations in here have gotten so far removed from reality, it's sort of mind-boggling. If everybody spent an equal amount of time talking about these issues with people who don't spend all of their free time on boards/blogs, the tone in here would be a lot different.

May I suggest you take a break from the media and from this particular forum? Go take a walk in the sunshine and spend some time with God. Call a friend and don't talk about the election. Go to the library and find a good read. Watch a funny movie ... have you seen Pacifier? Very funny.
All this will still be here ... you cannot control how people behave of speak, so just worry about your own responses.

IMA, you give others too much control of your emotions. While I commend you for wanting to be informed and for wanting to learn about and discuss the issues, you let others push your buttons and then you go off on others. Be careful about this. If health care gets nationalized, they'll make you take mood stablizing medication.

Hey, I'm not the one predicting that one of the candidates is going to be the next Hitler, that one of the candidates is a closet muslim terrorist. And I DO talk to other people; that's why I see that most of what's being thrown around here is nonsense. It's an insulated little world feeding back on its own hatred and paranoia.
