I'm curious if you've changed your mind on who you were going to vote for since Sarah Palin became a factor. Some have said it won't help McCain, some have said would hurt him. I'd like to see what the votes on this board will effect the votes for McCain.

I'll admit it, I was already going to vote for McCain but mostly because the alternative terrifies me!! Not quite holding my nose (as some say) but definitely feeling like that was my only option. Now I'm actually excited about casting my vote.

I'll be even more excited to vote for Palin/Christ (my Governor) in 2012 or 2016!

No. I was planning on voting for McCain anyways. He could win with or without Palin, but she was the best choice for him. She is absolutely AMAZING in every area of her life. Im gonna cast my vote for McCain/Palin with a SMILE on my face. For every reason.
And i live in a swing state - so the more votes for them the better.

I agree with csl7037; this made my vote (and participation) something I could be enthusiatic about.

OK....nobody else but me is bothered by this statement?

I'm speechless.

And by the way...don't get too excited by the numbers on this poll. To say it is not a scientific campling would be wildly undersstating things.

I agree that I am now excited about voting for Juan. I was hemming and hawing depending on who he picked as VP. Now I'm hoping for one term from him and then Sarah in 2012!

I was leaning towards Obama\Biden <puts up a shield for protection!)>, went to being undecided again, and now am leaning towards Obama\Biden again.
While I think Palin definitely adds to the ticket, I agree more with the stances of Obama\Biden. The only issue I agree with McCain on is his abortion stance. However, I don't think the Democrat-controlled Senate will approve a SCJ too out of line with their beliefs.

So, while I am still leaning Obama\Biden - I answered undecided. This has only to do with issues I agree with. I think Palin could lead our country, so it's not because of that.

Peace and God bless,

okrox: I believe that csl7037 simply misspelled the name of Gov. Crist of FL. and is indicating that she wants to see a Palin/Crist ticket in the future.

At least I hope so.

Although I did hear some interesting things in her speech last night I am still not convinced in the McCain Palin ticket, and what alarms me is that various individuals seem to even have gone as far as to say that a vote for Palin is a vote for Jesus, and this is a direct violation of the Ten Commandments! While it would be ideal to elect at least one Christian to the White House, we cannot and should not equate her to Jesus Christ!

agreed, but do not throw the book at someone before they totally admit what they said. we simply have to ask the question first (in this case at least).

I'm still undecided, but side more with Obama/Biden on most issues. I said I wasn't going to watch the RNC, but did watch last night and wasn't that inpressed with Palin. Yes, it's wonderful that she's using her gifts, but ..... .

Not at all it will be either Obama or Constitution Party here but I honestly thought for McCain to take the election he needed a very solid VP pick. This will put to rest the minds of anyone who is afraid that if they vote for him should he pass away (since he isn't young but is still hale) that there would not be a Cheney or a Quayle ready to take over.

Obama isn't the messiah and Palin isn't the virgin mary but when I heard the pick and did some searching I said and still think it was a brilliant pick.

Now that both parties have official candidates and VPs, and the third-party folks are jumping in to add more fun to the mix, I am still undecided as to who I will vote for.

I have it down to two important criteria for this election cycle: 1) financial self-interest and 2) who will be funniest to watch in the media for the next four years. None of the social issues any of the candidates espouse effect me at all, and my tax bracket is still way lower than it is in Europe. Not being pregnant or a criminal, I have no personal stake on candidates' views on either abortion or capital punishment. So as long as I protect my investments, I suppose I want the candidates to win who will provide the best entertainment.

Still undecided whom that will be.

Who has said that a vote for her is a vote for Jesus?

Sounds like something Ann Coldheart would say, except she is on record as McCain being the Antichrist.

What about equating her to cornbread? But that is an excellent point there Rev!

I was going to sit this election out due to McCain's lack of conservatism and whas going to let Dems win and screw everything up.

I'm back in now thanks to Palin.

That's interesting, a post calling someone a malicious name about someone calling someone else a malicious name! Do you have a writer or is this your own material form your heart?

O wait, I forgot, you said you write for David Letterman.

I will admit that I wasn't too excited about McCain but I would have voted for him because I disagree with waaaaaaay too much of what Obama stands for. However, with McCain choosing Palin, I am getting excited about the election again. I am very impressed with her!

Go Palin!
