Acer laptop, Windows Vista.

My computer doesn't seem to keep correct time. I have it set to automatically time synch, but I just checked - it supposedly synched up earlier today (unless I read it wrong and it hadn't done it yet), but when I told it to check, it changed the time by 8 minutes!

Why would it get so wrong on its time?

There's usually a little battery somewhere on the motherboard that is essential to keeping correct time. I'd replace it and see if that works.

Oh wait...I just saw you were talking about a laptop. So I'm not sure now.

I did some looking and found this site if you still have the problem this might help you
