I'm wondering... how many of us CW members ever heard of this folksy singer-songwriter, a.k.a. France's First Lady (to Pres. Nicolas Sarkozy!), much less fans of her? Lately, I'm starting to become someone of an admirer of Bruni's work, thanks in part to one of my Myspace friends.  
Brief Synopsis: The daughter-heiress to an Italian tire/automobile-based(?) tycoon first came--or should I say, exiled to France with her billionaire family, during the height of Italy's left-wing terrorist menace, a la The Red Brigade. In subsequent years, Carla Bruni tries her career luck with modeling, before settling down with her current, acoustic musical career.
*Personally, my favorite song from her is, "Those Dancing Days Are Gone," and "No Promises."
