What full time group would surprise you the most by coming out with a live band full time in 2009?

I was thinking the Perrys. Really, I think they would be ever more awesome than they already are!

King's Heralds?

I always despise a wise-guy answer, but I couldn't help it! I had just found out that I can now get the digital SG radio station 'enlighten' on my DISH Network, and they were singing one of their trademark acapella tunes!

Seriously, I'd love to see some of the groups like The Perrys & KP & New River bring back a full band, but I'd like to hear what some of the 'newer' groups that never ever had live music in the first place would sound like with a kickin' band. The Booth Brothers did come to mind, as did The Greesons.

I wonder -- If Ernie Haase & Signature Sound ever decided to use a live band (other than during video tapings), would all band members have spiked hair, short ties, and lots of movement?

Hmm -- that would be kind of interesting to see! I guess I'll give them my vote.

I'd love to see the Perrys bring back a live band. But the question wasn't what we most want to see, but who would surprise us the most, which is why I answered as I did.

I'm actually with you there - I'd most like to see the Perrys with a live band. (But if they have a drummer, no cymbals!)

The Kingsmen and Brian Free and Assurance. Only if you have a band, JUST have a band, not a band and all the extra instruments and choirs on tape.

But would that be what surprised you the most? I believe that was what the thread was originally about.
