I was just wondering if anyone could suggest to me any good, safe, healthy online Christian forums for teens that I could investigate for my daughter. Right now, she's not allowed to join forums, not until Momma has decided the time is right after finding a safe forum (probably not for many months yet). In the meantime, I'm just doing some research. She's a very mature girl with a godly heart and a careful manner, but she's still just a teen...currently in 8th grade. She'd like to join a good, safe forum someday, but she knows she has to wait on Momma's lead. Thanks very much for any forum ideas any of you might have.

We have a nice X-treme teen folder right here on the forums.

Manda, 8th grade would be about 13 in the beginning of the year, and 14 at the end. For our system, just add the #5 to the grade, and you'll have a rough idea of how old the child is (obviously there will be variations because of where birthdays fall, kids that repeat grades, and kids that get ahead..but that gives you a general ballpark).

The Rebelution site by Alex and Brit Harris is good (you can google it). You know Josh Harris, the guy who wrote "I Kissed Dating Goodbye"? They are his younger brothers and they've written an excellent book and have a website with a forum. BTW, the "rebelution" has to do with rebelling against low expectations for teens in today's society and pushing them to get out of their comfort zone for God. Didn't want to scare ya with the name, LOL.

I never was too keen on this forum for my young teen, simply because there are so many other folders I would not want them venturing into. No offense to anyone here at CW...I love it here, but it is possible to go into any folder. I understand wanted a teen only folder.

I agree with 29redballoons. Not that the other folders are bad (hey, I participate in them too), just too adult for a young teen.
