I'm posting this because the people I normally would talk to aren't awake yet. I fell to homosexual porn this morning and I need to confess this stuff otherwise it'll just build up as an accusation. I really believe that accountability is important and obviously I broke it by looking but I.....I dunno. I feel like a pity party posting this but at the same time, but even though I don't post much, it's evident that you guys are strong men in the Lord.
Would you please pray for me that this time it is true repentance? I cared more about pleasure than my relationship with my Heavenly Father who saved me. This is disgusting and God help me to think that BEFORE I do it instead of after.

praying for you PL. Repentence (turining away from sin and turning towards God again and again and again) is our strongest weapon in the fight to be free.

Hello PureLight
As a guy who struggled with gay porn in the past, maybe I can help you. First, do you possess revelation knowledge as to whether the Lord wants you gay or straight. I ask this because porn drives a guy's imagination. And while many do not act out, their imaginations run wild on them just the same.
Scripture has a lot to say about our imagination. Paul talks about casting down strongholds, which are long term established patterns of imagination. He also talks about renewing the mind.
Do understand that this porn thing is Satan's way of keeping you from what the Lord would want you to become.
This is no simple issue. I had deliverance manny times but thata seldom works. You need the Holy Spirit to work in you to where what you perceive as your nature to be changed.
You might seek out a mature Christian man that will study the word with you, pray with you and hold you accountable as well. Don't be afraid if you have set backs. But do look forward to this. If you persist in getting closer to the Lord and have someone you're accountable to, a time will come when you realize - it's gone - been lifted. How long will it take? Don't know. But it will come.

Had to address this. God doesn't want anyone trapped in homosexual behaviors. He abhors that.
There is no such thing as "being gay" it is not a characteristic, it is a mental disease (usually cause by trauma of some sort). See the homosexuality one-stop
