Lord, I ask you to look down upon my friend and co-worker, Roger. He was a teacher with my father, and now in his retired days, he has come to help us out on my dad's auctioneering business. Lord, Roger was recently diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease. Though he is on medication to slow its progress, he has already started to show early signs of the disease's affects. It is frustrating for him, I know. And it is also frustrating for his wife and the rest of his family.

God, I pray to you tonight to look down with mercy and favor upon Roger. He has been a good friend of my family's for years, and has endeared himself to the crowds at our auction sales. Please, if it would be your will, reverse the affects of this disease and grant him a complete healing from it. You know the life Roger led before as a youngster and how hard it was for him. God, I ask that you let this cup of misery pass him by, and heal him of his disease and all of the conditions it causees.

Lord, at the very lease, pleast be with Roger and his wife, Dorthea, and the rest of their family at this time. Please help them to be strong in the face of this terrible disease, and let their love for one another keep pulling them through to you. Take away any spirit of frustration that might be affecting Roger or any of his family members over this disease, and replace that with a spirit of hope and faith in you. Lord, I know Roger is a follower of your's. Have mercy upon him and his family during this time, and help keep them strong, both in their love for one another, and in their belief in you and your saving and healing powers.

God, when He was on this Earth, you worked your healing powers through your son, Jesus Christ, to give sight to the blind, hearing to the deaf, movement to the paralyzed, and even return life to those who were already dead. Lord, I believe that you still heal people on this Earth today through prayers and faith. God, I pray that you will do this with Roger, and I pray it as your meak and humble servant. I am not worthy to ask such a request of you, Lord. I am a horrible sinner, and you know all too well of my sins and my recent conflicts with you. But please, God, look past my sins and instead upon the prayers that I am asking for my friend and his family. Be with them, Lord God, and lend Roger your healing touch. And, no matter what, allow this family to be drawn closer together than they were before, and closer to you, as well.

I pray this, humbly, in the name of your Son, the Risen Lord, My Savior, and the Savior of all the World, Jesus Christ.
