In the midst of a plethora of false prophets and false teachers wrapping the skin of the truth with lies.. we now have an individual calling himself a "Master Prophet". From his website: quote:
Bishop E. Bernard Jordan is a man who has been singularly forged by the fire of destiny, which cause his eyes to burn with a vision for the Body of Christ that shall impact the entire world. Born a native of Brooklyn, New York, Bishop Jordan received his ultimate calling at the age of 15, where he was summoned to prophesy. By the age of 24, he was recognized nationally as a prophet. Rising from the obscurity of the ghetto to his present and current fame he is known to millions as God’s messenger, the Prophet. Bishop Elijah Bernard Jordan is the founder and Senior Pastor of Zoe Ministries since 1983. Zoe Ministries had its beginning in Westfield, New Jersey with 60 people in attendance. A thriving prophetic church with a vision to impact the world with the gospel, Zoe continued to develop the facets of ministry under Bishop Jordan’s leadership that marked it as a church in pursuit of destiny; called to fulfill the will of the Lord. Armed with a vision of a church resplendent in a glory greater than of Solomon’s Temple, Bishop Jordan has been building a ministry of restoration that would accurately reflect the Biblical pattern, tearing down the constraints of traditionalism and exposing the lies that have led the church into captivity. Zoe Ministries touches thousands, both nationally and internationally. Noted primarily for his prophetic ministry and revelatory teaching, Bishop Jordan established the School of the Prophets in 1985. The School is specifically geared towards those who are called to function in prophetic ministry, yet is an invaluable source of ministerial ethics that are applicable to any office of ministry. He is also noted for his uncanny accuracy of the prophecies that he ministers. Businessmen, political officials, celebrities and churches are numbered among the thousands who have consulted Bishop Jordan for counsel and direction through the Word of the Lord. Bishop Jordan teaches biblical principles and ethics essential to successful living. His life-changing messages on reformation and liberation have sparked acclaim, as well as controversy, as he teaches the unadulterated Word of God. A liberator in his own right, Bishop Jordan is charged with preparing the church for the New Millennium and stands with the heart of a father, acknowledging that he is but one of hundreds of thousands called by God to prophesy. His teachings have stabilized many who were floundering with a gift in manifestation without understanding the order of God. For more click the link before the start of the quote. So what does being a "Master Prophet" entail? Where in Scripture do we see the title and its usage over the real Prophets of God seen in the Bible?

While the referrence to Nostradomus and Edgar Cayce is disconcerting (to say the least), I must admit that I have never heard of this individual or his ministry before. That being said, I will refrain from judging the man or his doctrine. It looks fishy, but I'm Switzerland on this one. Adam

I've seen this nutcase's infomercials on BET in the wee hours of the morning a few times. Some of his apparently satisfied "prophesy" recipients include Russell Simmons, Russell's brother Joseph (aka "Rev Run"), Al Sharpton, and Judge Hatchett. At least they appear in his commercials talking about his "phophetic" vision. His wife is known as a "prophetess", and - at least for a time - his website featured a section for ordinary people like you and me to enroll in his program. He'll teach us how to be prophets, too! I don't remember how many hundreds of $$ that cost.

Geez, I guess they sleep at night because their consciences are seared as with a hot iron. I especially liked the click to receive a free prophecy. After the free one, if we like it enough, do we need to start paying? Disgusting!!!!!!!

Come on now when someone gets to brag about the great things they are doing kind a let's you know where their heart is. All he need to do after talking how great he is. Would be go out into the field and start eating as the cattle do. At lest oh Neb woke up and found out who is really in charge.

What on earth? I think you need to buy some of that Swiss chocolate and chill, 'cause it is just so silly to even bring a whole country into this thread about some weird guy who thinks he is a Master Prophet. Let's call it a day.

Solarflare... agreed. Soxfan... refusing to draw a conclusion about a matter of which I have no prior knowledge is not sin... it is actually wisdom. I would rather admit "I don't know, so I won't comment yea or nay" than try to sound spiritual and make a wild accusation about something that I know nothing about. In this case, neutral is an option. Adam

Well, even though I do have Swiss relatives..........I am not neutral - and come on...........click here for a 'free' prophecy? How can a person not judge that when it is clearly CLEARLY not found in Scripture? In fact, come to think of it, isn't that like trying to sell the Holy Spirit? If it walks like a duck, and looks like a duck and quacks like a duck.... It's a duck!!!! But this Master Prophet, is just quacked.

But letting other people fight their wars - kind of like here. You remain Switzerland and others fight the war we are all called to wage. Except for this current battle we seem to be locked in that has now crossed a couple of borders........ As I said, I would rather say "I don't know" than leave my mouth running and say something inherently stupid. Let's face it, Jesus and the mystery of the Trinity are faaaaar more interesting than the local goofball who claims to be a super-spiritual-whatever. If he's legit, goody for him... if not, may God give him a spirit of Wisdom and Revelation (Eph 1:17). quote:
click here for a 'free' prophecy? How can a person not judge that when it is clearly CLEARLY not found in Scripture? In fact, come to think of it, isn't that like trying to sell the Holy Spirit? Selling the Holy Spirit..................... for free? Seems rather pointless, no? Charging an exhorbitant amount of money for a pamphlet, that I would believe is "selling the Holy Spirit"... but isn't this (freely giving) just the kind of thing we say "should happen" with people like Wagner, Sheets, and Joyner if they believe they have the next big truth? Now, to be honest, I'm being slightly facetious... 100% on purpose. To be sure, this argument is pretty silly. "Some guy claimed to be a prophet! I'm crushed! OH! My spirituality is ruined!!!!!!! AAAAaaaaauuuuggghhhh...... **urgle**" So... there is a time and a place for drawing up battle lines, and there are times to say "y'all have fun shooting each other... I'm going to enjoy my chocolates and knives..." That time is usually when the battle joins and you have nothing more more powerful at your disposal than a potato gun or water pistol. As I said, I don't know this guy, I've never heard a word he's said. So until I have a desire to find something more definitive to go on than a hunch, my response is "sounds fishy, but I don't know." Adam

I too had a restless night when I couldn't sleep, and turned on the TV and saw one of his infomercials. I watched a little bit, because I remember his ads in Charisma magazine in the late 80's early 90's, when I was caught up in some false doctrine. Anyway, I turned the channel when they showed a clip of one of his meetings. He was standing at the podium with his hands raised, looking upward. Another individual with a mic pointed at him, and said to the crowd, "Everyone point at the prophet and declare, money cometh from the mouth of the prophet!!" That was all I needed to hear in order to switch the channel.

Well, we know where you stand - and you know where I stand. The free prophecy is nothing but a come on and that is not how that gift should be used. I think I smell a counterfeit - and for someone who thinks this is a boring thread, you do have the longest post! Nothing personal, just an observation -I'm not posting here again myself.
